I had this penciled in for a win but after the saints better than expected showing against GC it now looks like it with be a tough contest.

Never heard of this Bruce guy but after taking a candidate for mark of the year last week he's now followed up by kicking 6 sausage rolls yesterday.

We should be aiming to win at least 2 of the next 3 games.

At least the Saints form will have us going in believing that it will be a contest. Otherwise they may have surprised us.

GCS were pretty lethargic. Ablett has one functioning arm and can't do everything for them. Their early form would have them wishing they had Bluey back at the helm. Finals look a long way off.

We will kick their arse. Pen this in as a big win to restore your faith in the Coach.

At least we'll be on our home ground back at the G.

We must make 4 changes to our team, with our eye on the future. We should drop players who have promised so much, but delivered so little for too long.

Ins: Witts, De Goey, Freeman, Dwyer

Outs: Sinclair (inj), Varcoe, Fasolo, Goldsack.

Then we should look at bringing in Moore and Reid for ANZAC day.

Yeah, thought he was 1 of a number of good additions to their list last year that they were able to add because they offloaded Big Boy.

People keep talking about all the young talent we have in the VFL but it matters little if we don't play them.

Goldsack. 8 disposals yesterday. No goals for the season.

Drop him and make him earn his recall.

Fasolo. Not quick. Doesn't work hard enough. Needs to get more of the ball.

Drop him and make him earn his recall.

Varcoe. Two middle of the road performances. 1 goal. Hovers outside the contest.

Drop him and make him earn his recall.

Brown. Horses for courses. Do we need him this week or will the more talented Reid suffice.

Drop him.

Out: Goldsack
In:Karnezis

Out:Fasolo
In:De Goey

Out:Varcoe
In:Dwyer

Out:Brown
In:Reid

Out:Sinclair (inj)
In:Freeman

In:Witts/Gault
Out:?

I'd like to include Kennedy as well but who knows what is going on with him.

And while we're at it how about playing our best small forward as a forward for all the game. Elliott needs to find form as a forward first and display it for a number of weeks before we worry about throwing him into the midfield.

We need goal kickers and he is one of our best when on song.

Sinkers will obviously miss but other than him I'd still keep changes to a minimum.

Outs: Sinclair (inj), Fasolo

In: PK, Freeman

Dwyer was probably BOG for the first 2 quarters yesterday but I'd prefer to see him as a last resort type senior option along the lines of Armstrong. I know he's probably the best like-like replacement for Sidey but we need to persevere with kids. Maybe him in for Varcoe as a 3rd change.

PK started slowly but worked his way into the game yesterday and he is just so creative by hand or foot. An obvious replacement for Fasolo.

De Goey struggled to impact the game consistently yesterday although he did lay some bone crunching tackles. Another VFL game won't hurt him.

The Sack had a shocker yesterday but form to date this season means he gets another chance. Could lose his spot to either De Goey or Moore the following week if he repeats this weeks form.

Moores form yesterday was very good and he's not too far away but happy to take some time with him.

Witts was solid yesterday and got lots of time on ground. May not yet be going at 100% so 1 more week at VFL.

Others to be considered would be Kennedy and Gault

OUTS:

Varcoe just hangs out, outrageously soft. Drop him, you just know he won't be there in the seniors by year's end.

Fasolo, yes the kid has some tricks but needs to play a solid block of VFL and find his mojo.

Sack, not doing it at the moment and players should be picked on form, I'd drop him.

Sinkers misses with a nicked hammy once again

INS:

Dwyer comes in for Varoce, in good form, provides good run and carry and has decent skills.

The Gooby comes in for Goldy, I am sure the kid can apply tackling pressure but has a few offensive weapons as well. Can also rotate through the middle. To allow Swan time up forward.

Freeman, good form should be rewarded and we need a bit of pace and grunt in the middle so give him a shot.

I am still worried about PK's tank but would give him a crack as the sub
