Keeffe won't play:
Quote: | Tom Browne @TomBrowne7 37m37 minutes ago
Can reveal @LKeeffe_23 had a potential back related hamstring twinge early on during @CollingwoodFC training. Won't play nab challenge one

I can't see us winning but I'm eager to see how the young kids and recruits go in this match.
As long as we don't see a repeat of 2004 when the Eagles smashed us in the pre-season competition I don't think it'll be that bad. Apparently some were saying it might rain in Launceston on Thursday so therefore the game might be more closer but we'll see what happens.
The main thing I'm worried about is injuries and hoping to god that none of our players sustain any serious injuries. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

So Armstrong, Dwyer, and Keeffe out. Dwyer unlucky, thought he was promising in the intraclub but hard to argue against your side.
Think Goldsack or Oxley might get a start as 3rd tall defender. Particularly with Roughead, Gunston and Ceglar all likely forwards.
Sinclair and Ramsay probably interchangeable. |

Think I'd prefer it doesn't rain. |

We must win this one to prove once and for all we have kicked the Collingwoobles syndrome. Hawks are arrogant scum that need putting back in their place. _________________ I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for. |

I'm not necessarily saying I'd prefer rain but I do think the margin would be lessoned if it did rain on Thursday.
However the risk of injury in those conditions would be worrying for supporters of both clubs. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Yeah, someone had to miss out, so I opted for youth over mature-age depth. We're really watching these games to see how these young blokes go anyway, so that's why they got the nod. Dwyer still in the mix though.
Hawks have those talls, but I think Toovey can take Gunston, so really we only need Brown and Frost as actual bigs in defence. Goldsack either forward or back as needed or desired. Oxley isn't a 1v1 defender, so unless we play 7 backs, I have him in a vest.
And yep, Sinclair and Ramsay can be swapped depending on taste, but I opted for the younger model with a better kick on him. If Marley moves up the ground, then we need another small defender anyway. Sinclair, I think, has had a modified pre-season, so the vest might be the ideal way to get him back into condition. _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Hawks are dumb shits playing Roughead in a meaningless Nab cup, what if he did his knee and missed twelve weeks, and it has happened before in these pre season games. I recall one year, Lockett missed the whole season because he did his knee in one of these pointless games. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
