nah young doesnt go and to be honest I havent seen him go in his time at collingwood.

dids was an outside player but had the skills & ability to be an asset in that role. young is not only soft but his outside game is at best average.

FWIW, I've seen Young back in to packs and put his body on the line when required. He actually did it a few times last year.

The comparison is ridiculous because didak actually wasnt soft. He was a smart player that realised his strength was to read the play and use his skill to his & the teams advantage. It didnt serve didak any point crashing into packs when his game was built on using his skills & smarts.

Young doesnt have any smarts & his skills are average at best. So by him choosing to be soft, he actually adds little to the team.

we have 37 players that are going to play in intra club match

4 players will not play in match but will train with vfl side on thursday. (guessing seedsman, marsh, Moore, Witts)

4 players in rehab that will not train or play (guessing Macaffer, young, Sharenberg, Reid)

Saying that young and dids were both soft, but go when its there turn to go is just plain wrong & you have a very small view of the game.

Dids was a forward opportunist and much like daicos your role as a forward opportunist is not to go in and under, its to use game sense to create opportunity. Both dids and daicos were great at it. It made no sense for them to play a hard mans game in that position!

Young is not a forward, he is a half bank flanker/wingman. As a backman you need cant afford to be soft or you will get found out.

Comparing young to Lonie is more accurate , as they play the same role.

Any other comparison between the two is moot. We all know that Dids has Young well covered on talent.
