Should we make a genuine play at getting Dangerfield? |
Yes - and surpass any other financial offer made to improve our odds. |

Yes- but within reason. Let's not break the bank. |

No - He would eat up to much of our salary cap space. |

^ Treloar is already a gun, not just in the making. The kid has the potential to be the number one mid in the comp in a few years. |

For us to have a Chance at Recruiting a Star to the Club. We at least have to make the Semi’s this year _________________ I am Da Man |

I've been hearing that Geelong are the leaders for Danger?
I'd expect us to pay somewhere in the realm of 850-1m PA for him over 3-4yrs, seeing he will be 25 in April.
As much as I hate to admit it, I'd be willing to pay probably 1m to 1.1... this all depends how much we actually have in the cap to play with.
He's a marketable player. He's the kinda player who can get bums on seats and membership numbers up which is good for the Collingwood coffers.
We haven't manager to land a massive free agency player and if we can land one in the 2015 FA period, then that's awesome for the club. We could probably front load quite a bit of his contract (like we did with Ball) as to not upset players in the future. |

If we perform as a few optimists believe we will then I don't think we have a need for him - particularly in relation to the salary cap and how close it would push us (if we're not already there).
If the midfield is average or below then there's a huge argument to chase him. The guy's a star, let's be honest but you don't want to bring him in at the expense of losing some of our younger quality players who we wouldn't have the coin to pay. |
Good post, we'll know a lot more come seasons end, shit, for all we know a KPF might be our biggest need. |
It already is. _________________ Up the Mighty Mags 2016. |
