For the record, this is the first month of TV games:

Round 1 - Footscray vs Box Hill

Round 2 - Essendon vs Collingwood

Round 3 - Coburg vs Frankston

Round 4 - Casey vs Sandringham

Good to see the stand-alone teams aren't left out either. Coburg and Frankston always put on a good game when they meet.

Yeah - Good to see that VFL Teams do still get some airtime but not as much as they did on ABC

I am hoping they're going to still broadcast this in Tasmania.

Channel 7 have announced their commentators:

Quote:
JASON Bennett has returned from the US to host Channel 7’s VFL coverage.

Bennett, who has spent the past six years working for ESPN in the States, will team up with former VFL player Nigel Carmody and Hawthorn premiership star Campbell Brown in the commentary box for Seven’s debut as the VFL broadcaster.

Channel 7 has been inundated with resumes since news broke late last year that they were taking over from the ABC.

Bennett worked at Fox Footy and Triple M before taking up his dream position in the States where he hosted the popular program Aussies Abroad which caught up with Australia’s best athletes who were plying their craft overseas.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/channel-7-vfl-commentary-team-revealed-plus-jon-brown-and-jake-kings-sleepover-in-the-score/story-fni5f22o-1227247514577?utm_content=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=EditorialSF&utm_source=HeraldSun&utm_medium=Twitter

Always liked Bennett, though I had always secretly hoped Fox Footy would lure him back to replace that log Dwayne Russell. Carmody has been doing a decent job commentating VFL Radio the past few tears, as well as our own radio stream for home games, so he's not a bad pickup either.

Donnigan was not doing the VFL last season.

Say thanks to Abbott and his Mates from taking money away from the ABC

It's a publicly-funded channel Dave so not everyone will be unhappy to see cuts occurring within the ABC.

For crying out loud Bob Hawke made a 7% cut to ABC in the 1980s in contrast to Abbott who's made 5% cuts to ABC funding yet I don't see any indication that people were being hysterical towards Hawke in the 1980s than they are now about this issue.
