They destroyed the Health Service - that is about all I know - but QLD health were fairly proactive in patient safety before this mob came to power and when they got there they ripped the guts out of it by making so so many clinical roles well gone!!
It had to bite as it should and it seems it has - good _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Wow wee. A Quinella:
1. Queensland results;
2. Numan loss his seat;
3. Australia wins the Asia Cup;
4. Arrogant lib scum-suckers losing the plot not just in QLD but in Canberra.
5. ALP wins in Vic.
but who am I to gloat
Looks like you win some & you win some more.
Lets hope they appoint "Honest Mal" to the federal leadership
Correction at 2321 hours AEDST:
ALP have not won yet in QLD. LNP can't win, ALP can win but could be down to the wire with a balancing act. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman

All the factors previously mentioned - bikie laws, asset sale and leaseback proposals, cuts to health, also galilee basin coal development with taxpayer funded infrastructure including railway and Abbott Point coal terminal, dumping of waste onto reef, proposed cruise ship terminal at the mouth of the Nerang River on the Gold Coast and shonky MPs trying to feather their own nests. As recently as yesterday marina developments were being approved. On top all that Aboots gaffes. Apparently The LNP had heaps more money for their campaign. |

^ pffft bloody bean counters and pen pushers consistently stuff up IT projects in every State - that concerns me less than what the Newman led LNP mob did to actual patient care and clinical services - should have cut the bean counters not the clinicians - anyway copped their right whack - good!!!! _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Another massive result against the Liberals! That party needs a serious revamp and re-evaluation of it's direction and policy positions federally and state from top to bottom!
Labor are not a much better alternative but I can see why people voted for them in the first place in Victoria and now in Queensland. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Health Report Card
- Patient: Liberal Party of Australia.
- Symptoms: greed, arrogance, ignorance, stupidity.
- Diagnosis: this party needs an enema.
- Clinical history: Small enema administered in South Australia. No result. Massive enema administered in Victoria. Still no visible improvement. Gigantic steam-powered enema administered in Queensland. Symptoms still persist.
- Prognosis: Despite repeated public enemas, still full of shit.

Last time I checked:
Labor 43 seats
LNP 40
Ind. 3
Undecided 3
Summary:
If Labor wins 1 of the undecided seats it can win Govt. with 1 of the Independents. Peter Wellington (Nicklin) is likely to go Labor.
If it wins 2, it will govern outright. _________________ Donny.

we tend to vote governments out rather than in and this appears to be another example.
i thought newman showed extraordinarily strong leadership when mayor during the floods in 2011. on the back of this he literally and figuratively got swept to power. how things can change in such a short time. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Correct on that and the growing trend is that the electorate isn't going to cop bad government. Perform or begone is the new mantra and there seems to be now a large enough number of voters who aren't invested in either major party to make change after 1 term a reality.
It now appears more important than ever that the party in opposition has some very clear ideas about what they will do when they get power. It's no point focusing all the energy on being good opposition then being a disorganised rabble once in power, you need to hit the ground running once you're in and stay there. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Campbell Newman was an ex Duntroon Military officer and a businessman. He ran the state like his company. He decided people had to go to cut costs and sacked them as he looked at the bottom line. Yes that's smart business when your running a company. The trouble is he was in charge of a State and the not so smart Military Officer forgot about the people and that many of those people lived in his electorate. |

Why did Newman call a snap election in the first place?
Did he think he would have a comfortable victory given the extraordinary difference in seats held between the major parties heading into the election?
Most experts thought Labor would win back a number of seats but I doubt any tipped this result. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
