Tuck Shop in Caulfield rates very highly & is always packed. I'm going to try it soon.

The Press Club. Everything was delicious. I thought it was reasonably priced - set price for either 4, 6 or 9 courses. For what you pay there & what you'd pay anywhere else for 4 courses, not really any different $$$ wise.

Service was exceptional. Small place, surprisingly small, but very roomy. They could've easily had more tables & chairs in there but thankfully they seem to have chosen diner comfort over greed.

Kind of a lesser version of Grill'd, for more or less the same price. But they had Pimm's and ginger ale, so all was forgiven. Smile

crap, overrated burger. never understood why it is rated so highly.

one of the best burger joints in melbourne is ziggy's in balaclava.

Been to 8-bit in Footscray??
'

not yet. on my list. you need to try the ziggy's recovery burger.

You must be in my nick of the woods. Had a decent burger there & my youngest when she was a meat eater loved it.

If you're in the city I'm told this place is pretty good:

Burger Boys

http://www.burgerboys.com.au

525 Little Lonsdale Street City (It's a pop up in a bar) Near Williams Street near Flagstaff station.

http://www.eat8bit.com.au/

1980's video game themed. Smile
My favourite is the "Double Dragon" burger. Very Happy
And the American style "Chilli Cheese Fries" go alright too.

Some of you might need your passports if you ever plan on heading over to the western suburbs though..... Laughing

The Pavilion in Dandenong. My son took me there and all I can say is I can't wait to get back there. He is mad on Burgers and if you are, ask for the Burger menu (you have to ask for it). Enjoy.

Haven't been to that hood lately then??
More like a mix of Saigon, Kartoum (spelling??), Brunswick. Laughing Laughing
There is a large Sudanese/Ethiopian presence now to go along with the strong Vietnamese flavour, with the Hipster brigade slowly filtering themselves in. Laughing

If you get over to Vegas and want some high class tucker one evening, give Sage restaurant at Aria a go.

http://www.aria.com/dining/restaurants/sage

Very special gear. Had Wagu steak tartare for the entree, bloody brilliant.

Rare new york strip for a main and absinthe cocktail for desert. Yum.
