I have much bigger boobs than this guy...
And I don't fear nudity in either men OR women, it's just the way my loving (Christian) God created us. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine! |

It was tacky and I can't believe it even ever existed in the first place.
Porn or nudity is fine but in it's place and that shouldn't be page 3 of what I assume is a major newspaper. |
Well FMD
I understand that page 3 will always be after page 2 but before page 4. |
So seeing another female person's chest is now regarded as porn?
OMG, the world really IS going crazy with OTT political correctness.
I had better shut my eyes to porn the next time I visit my favourite beach..... |
Mate, buddy, pal, you're attributing things to me I haven't uttered or written. I was having a 'dig' at our Gippsland cousin's unexpected virtuousness _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Swoops opinion here doesn't count. He prefers goats anyway.
The old Page 3 girl that gave us the likes of Samantha Fox.

With the greatest respect the last thing I want to see in full page colour is male dangling bits - they just aren't attractive at all - useful yes - but not visually attractive _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

So Tannin are you saying that the dangly bits of Stui are attractive or not useful? And pray tell how do you know this??
Trust me 30 years of nursing - young, old and inbetween - helmets, cheesies - white , black, yellow, tan - big, small or medium - they just aint pretty end of story _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

Oh, positively god-like. Trust me on this.
(I read it in an old book, so it must be true.) _________________ Let's eat Grandma. Commas save lives! |

Me too. Then there was my day job
Mind you I've seen so much female genitalia (as above) & her brother Alitalia - (my first job in PTS was a through shave)
But at the end of the day - no comparison. You're on the money. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

I don't know, I think I can appreciate genitalia of both sexes. And I've known plenty of women who enjoy male genitalia on the grounds of utility and aesthetics alike.
Personally, I'd be all for more nudity in newspapers. But I agree with most here that context-free gawking should be left to the publications that specialise in such things. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Worth it just to imagine the faces of the campaigners. I hate to say it, but well played, The Sun. They certainly know how to make a buck.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/11361739/The-Sun-brings-back-page-3.html
And more fool on the campaigners for ever thinking that this
Quote: | Rather than bare breasts, it was thought that the pictures would now show scantily-clad women wearing bras and pants. |
would have constituted any sort of progress. To think their Twitter account was claiming this as a win because of the publicity their cause received. I think they'll find the real winner is the newspaper's circulation figures, and that they've been thoroughly p!wned. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

An interesting perspective from Helen Razer:
http://www.crikey.com.au/2015/01/22/razers-class-warfare-tits-on-page-3-are-not-oppressing-you/
Quote: | What Murdoch delivers in every published iteration of himself and his lubricious ideology is not new instructions such as disrespect women. These are old instructions popular precisely because they confirm a view the reader already holds. Mass culture succeeds not because it controls our most intimate behaviour. It succeeds because it flatters it. That the Left has joined the Right in holding media as the real culprit and not just the paparazzo of inequality is a terrible naivety. |
I think she's right to an extent in that media outlets tend to reflect cultural (or subcultural) norms more than they shape them, but I think that they still do both. TV, news, advertising are all, at the end of the day, stimuli. We can't put them off to one side as if the construction of the self and ideological development only relate to the "real world". Surely, psychology doesn't work like that. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
