Is $80 too much for a pair of thongs?

yes. i own about 15 pairs of thongs of different makes and quailty. cheapest was $3, havaiana replicas to the real ones which were $20. my most comfortable pair are croc replicas from bali.

If you colour them in AFL team colours and put the team logo on them, you'd be surprised how many people would buy them.

People pay $120 for a polyester guernsey that probably costs less than $1 to make.

I paid $25 for some havaiana's just before Christmas and that's about my limit.

I buy fit flops from Amazon, used to get them from Victoria's secret when the had them on sale, $49 worth every cent! Buy then here and they are $99. - $130.

And since I got my first pair, I have not been able to wear normal thongs!

So, no, if you've got foot problems (I don't) or knee problems (every net baller does!) then, if I couldn't get them for Amazon cheaper, I'd be hanging out to get them on sale here!

Tried Birkenstocks from Amazon, bloody terrible, but I made a profit on eBay!

I know guys who buy sketchers thongs, they ain't cheap.

3. Thoughts spring to mind.

1. Unless these $80 thongs have a mean self-defence mechanism (I'm thinking mini-gun and/rocket launcher) to protect your valuables while your swimming off Bondi or Kuta beach I'd say they are waste money.

2. If buying a $80 thongs pair of makes you feel superior to some-one who can only afford to wear a pair costing $8 then your monies better spent on personal therapy.
..issues of self esteem inferiority complex should be the first ones tackled!

3. If neither 1 or 2 apply I'd opt for... "a fool and his money are soon parted".

My current pair I've had for about 4 years and they're just about stuffed. So I got a new pair today.

Crocs make some really good thongs, havaianas are over priced cheap quality shit. Reef thongs are the bomb.
