Torrentfreak is in my daily site visits, so I'd read this already. Australians are government following sheep when it comes to this stuff, we just love being told what to do. I'd love a bit more political activism, but our 'she'll be right mate' attitude has been used against us for decades. Takes something pretty big now days to get us away from the flat screen TV or iWhatsit.

I do follow that Site and I agree. That we just can’t let the Government Rule over us without be hold to what they do.

Just have to read what happened with SOPA You will be OutRaged about it.

Government wants to take our Privacy away from us Evil or Very Mad

Good link, Dave. This link from within that article to the author's blog has a great ranging discussion beneath it, too: http://falkvinge.net/2012/12/22/the-copyright-monopoly-stands-in-direct-opposition-to-property-rights/

Some people will invent any any old claim to justify unrealistic returns, but the fact is most extraordinary claims on rights are narcissistic delusions by definition. We are all in this endeavour called society together, and there is a minimum standard under which the game of life, and individuals playing the game, ought not slip, least of all to satisfy some ridiculous notion of "rights".

This is why I say I'm a "competitionist", not a dusty old Cold War "capitalist": The quality of the competition between us says far more about fairness and quality of life than religious doctrines pertaining to contracts and just reward. As far as I can see, present rates of property sharing have had zero ill effect on anything important.
