Quote:
Twilight Intra-Club match
Date: Thursday 19 February
Time: 6.30-9.30pm
Location: Olympic Park Oval
Details: Join us for the team’s intra-club match and see how the players are shaping up for the start of the 2015 season. A variety of food trucks will be at the venue, memberships and merchandise will be on sale, and free face painting and giveaways will also be available.

Anyone else here find it a very funny time to have the Intra-Club game on a Thursday Night.

Why a School/Work Night?

I think it's a great time. People can head there straight after work, rather than missing out if it were the normal time.

Though would 9:30 be a late Finish for people who have Work and School the next day?

Come on...if it starts at 6:30 (the game that is) it wont go until 9:30.

Thats probably the time all the festivites end, the meet/greet with the players post match etc.

If your there just purely to watch the football and arent interested in that other stuff that wouldnt appeal to many people over 15 years of age, you should be tucked away in bed by 9.

And with kids and parenting these days, I hardly think 9:30-10pm is considered late anymore.

As for work, yeah, if you start at 4am the next day, you probably wouldnt go. If you start at 8-9 Im sure the 9 hours sleep time beforehand should do the trick.

it's quite a good idea. a festival atmosphere and it gives more supporters the opportunity to watch the squad in action.

How blessed are you Dave!

All up for me it would be about 10hrs plus accomodation costs, loss of 2 days work and cost a good deal of cash Wink

For some others, much more.

Count your blessings and appreciate it mate Smile

Come on Dave, is this really something worth complaining about? It's a practice match.

I think minimising potential impact of heat and allowing a seven day break makes it logical scheduling. Be nice for fans to be able to get along but it's not really the focus of the exercise.

I'm with DTM stupid day and time.

If they want it at night then make it a Saturday night.

You city slickers need to stop thinking all supporters live within a drop punt of the G.

It's a major part hence the food trucks, membership and merchandise available for purchase.

A full scale intra club match should be held the same time as the family day/night.
