The Keefe photo could start a "put your bat out" (I know I Know before regular Pies bashers on this site start trolling) not the same thing, but we need to have voice and defend our family by getting this wet muppet out of journalism (if that's what his attempt was) |

Selling papers is their job.
The more people react the more they have won.
The paper is owned by the biggest global media
mogul of all time!
Asked Julia Guillard about her treatment!
Get over it and stop reacting in feign shock! _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

it's just a cleverly drawn tattoo of rolls of fat. I must say it looks very realistic. _________________ Fault finding is like window washing. All the dirt seems to be on the other side.

Actually, Swanny wasn't at training. Balmey was standing in for him. _________________ I hold a cup of wisdom, but there is nothing within. |

That is a rather sweeping generalization about people. |

Same here.
This reaction would be having the bosses over at the HS laughing their asses off at the moment.
It's an easy formula:
- Write something that will upset people (target larger demographics/fan bases for better results)
- Giggle as targeted demographic gets angry, shares the article with friends and boosts the view count on your website.
Don't give them what they want. |

This is why we should be able to just copy and paste the whole article, we as in Collingwood supporters owe them nothing. |

I've met the bloke a few times who took the photo. He is actually really upset and meant no harm in taking the photo.
He's quite distressed. _________________ Heeeeeeeeeeeeeey, we want some Bayley! |

If he took the photo and is upset at the derogatory way in which it was used (even if he sold the rights for its use) he can seek legal remedy under 'Moral Rights' under the Copyright Act.
The Australian Copyright Council has a PDF explaining it at: http://www.copyright.org.au/find-an-answer/browse-by-keywords/
This is short extract from it:
“Moral rights” are the rights individual creators have in relation to copyright works or films they have created.
Moral rights are separate from the “economic rights” of the copyright owner. The creator of a work, who holds moral rights, is not necessarily the owner of copyright in the work.
Creators have three moral rights.
• to be attributed (or credited) for their work;
• not to have their work falsely attributed; and
• not to have their work treated in a derogatory way.
Perhaps Swan's management or CollFC's legal people might do the legwork on the photographer's behalf.
EDIT: the link above will take you to the Aust. Copyright Council's search page. Just type in the word 'moral' and go from there. |
