Woah, a rather serious mistake on the CFC website, within the article List Locked in for 2015 posted on December 5, 2014 3:32 PM.
The section listing the spread of players across the various field positions has left out the traded-in players ie Crisp, Greenwood and Varcoe.
I reckon this a pretty serious mistake. Its an insult to those new players and is extremely disappointing for us CFC followers who look to the website for pertinent information about players and club. Its also an indictment of the professional standards of the media department. With all the clubs supposed resources, is there not anyone who is responsible for checking over articles to ensure their accuracy? Whats even more incredulous is that at the time of posting, the mistake had not been rectified, despite having almost 24 hours for that to happen.
A really poor reflection on the standards of the media department. They really need to lift their game and I damn well hope this sloppiness does not extend to the footy department!!!

I saw that too, skimmed over it 2-3 times thinking I missed their names.
The offical app site is disappointing, still listing retired, delisted and traded players from 2014. I wouldn't have thought it would be too hard to remove them by now. |

Just one thing to mention, when an article gets 'posted' it has to go through Big Ponds whatever. It can take a day or two for it to get up.
It may have been fixed already for all we know, but because of Bigpond it may take a tad to go up. |

Absolutely. It just annoys me that we are not getting information that current and accurate. It's really poor, considering we are supposed to be a wealthy club. It's like it's not important to the club that it keeps us followers up to date. |

Thanks Brenny for that info, although it doesn't excuse the original carelessness though.
When I looked through the spread of the team, my first thought was s^#t, I thought we had more depth than that! Got quite depressed there for a moment! |

I note you only joined this site recently! Alas you attack our great club over a minor issue like this ! Yay! You must be a Carlton Plant and should be ignored by the rest of us loyal Pies fans ! Good post PP.
The media relations crew at CFC are appalling. No skills, no nous, nor diligence to detail. Probably near-teenage PR types who infect most organisations these days doing the nuts&bolts writing for clients while the senior partners lick the arses of the big brass (that's you Eddie). |

Actually the positional gradings announced can be taken with a grain of salt. Just because Moore and Reid can play CHB or CHF doesn't turn you into a "Utility". Goldsack is a genuine utility. Scharenburg comes across as a utility to me when he eventually plays and DeGoey could also be classified as a utility. |
