Possibly. Out of context, it certainly would be, but here it's arguable because we were talking about Joffa's autobiography. "My own" is still unneeded, but it serves to emphasise the contrast. But this is an internet forum, not a published book.
It's interesting you use TP as a good example of a pseudonym. I generally find verbs (particularly imperatives) in usernames a bit jarring—I'd go noun or noun cluster any day—but each to their own.
Oh, and I've met Joffa many times too, and he is indeed a friendly person and well-intentioned. His community work is certainly a good example to be followed. His autobiography probably isn't for me, but good luck to him and hope those who read it enjoy it. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

[quote="Piesnchess"]Joffa is a hell of a nice guy, but even he, humble chap that he is, would not consider himself a club legend, theres no way he would think of himself in that exalted company, he is a very high profile Magpies fan, very passionate, and that's it.[/quote
Totally agree. But he represents I suppose the Collingwood aupporter who in a lot of ways is a legend. Sort of like Yabba. Or Irene Chatfield or that Swans bloke. _________________ Annoying opposition supporters since 1967. |

I thought the same thing.
Nothing against him writing a book about his life and I dare say quite a few people would read it but It’s something I pass on.
Though I hope good money is made for Epilepsy Australia |
Why would you pass on it? He is a great bloke and a Collingwood legend. Sure I don't agree with everything he says, but I do admire the bloke. It is a pitty the Club have tried to muzzle him and the Cheer squad. And now look. I hope the book deals with the wrecking of our great club passion at the games by the corporate spin doctors. It needs to tell all. I will be buying it and all for a good cause as well. |
God Bless ya Hiss
You really do bring something special to Nicks Board, Most times these days as i dont post much here anymore is to have a look at what Hiss has to say..Never ever disapointed..Keep up the great work Comrade _________________ Football is Greatness
