Disappointing news on top of his earlier season ankle injury.

This will put his development back and not help build the tank.

We really need someone like Abbott to make it as he'd be a handy addition to our forward mix going forward.

can't.

teams can only promote a rookie if someone on the senior list goes out for a LTI

Manteit has been showing gradual improvement... and there is always Armstrong...

Bad luck for Abbott. He's shown a few signs. Good to get it done now so he gets a full preseason.

I see Abbott as becoming our next raging bull, a la Darren Millane. Once he builds his tank, he could be anything. He already has good hands, speed and kicking skills. I can see him in our forward set up from round one next season.
