Isis 'forced us to pray - then raped us': Yazidi survivor Nadia Murad describes life as a sex slave in northern Iraq
She has been speaking out about her horrific experiences at the hands of Isis fighters, who bought and sold her and women like her as “sabia” – slaves.
Addressing students at Cairo University this week, she reportedly revealed that Isis militants “used to force captives to pray and then rape us”.
“We were not worth the value of animals. They raped girls in groups. They did what a mind could not imagine,” she said.
During her visit to Egypt, Ms Murad met with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. She tweeted that she was “asking the Islamic world to stand firmly and clearly against Isis”. “They commit rape and genocide crimes in the name of Islam,” she said.

That's a good article by the Guardian.
I'm glad that they emphasise heavily on the town of Dabiq and how it's one of the many factors that needs to be considered if deploying troops is a serious option at some point in the future because the last thing we want to do is play into their narrative. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

Big breakthrough in understanding the structure and functioning of the group, especially when it comes to recruiting new members and discovering existing ones that intelligence agencies may have not been aware of initially.
Quote: | Isis document leak reportedly reveals identities of 22,000 recruits
Documents obtained by German intelligence thought to contain names of 16 Britons, in information stolen in Syria by fighter disillusioned with Islamic State
More than a dozen Britons and a handful of Americans are among Islamic State fighters reportedly named in a cache of 22,000 documents obtained by German intelligence.
Britons identified in the documents so far had previously been revealed to the public and are dead, killed in US-led strikes, or their whereabouts unknown. Sixteen Britons are thought to be on the list, among them Junaid Hussain and Reyaad Khan.
The documents, thought to be from a border crossing into Syria, are questionnaires of each would-be recruit. There are 23 questions, including names, date and place of birth, hometown, telephone number, education and blood type.
Germany’s interior minister, Thomas de Maizière, confirmed the documents were real and they would facilitate “speedier, clearer investigations and stricter prison sentences” for those returning from Syria and Iraq. De Maizière said the materials help clarify “the underlying structures of this terrorist organisation”. |

Poor bugger.
Takes balls but not sure why any western journalist would risk going to Iraq or Syria when he did.
I guess people like him who are well travelled underestimate the risks and probably more trusting of different cultures than us more sheltered folks.
Any chance you're heading that way ptid?
LOL.
