OK Doc, ya got me. I didn't put a lot of thought into that! Maybe a strike? Maybe we're going so well and have top spot wrapped up by round 20 so we decide to give all the older guys a rest so they're fresh for the finals?
Dr Pie: Oh ye of little faith. Jesse had a very ordinary year, but he's training the house down and WILL kick 40 this year. He's still just a kid!

Wow, how long has it been since the first 30 numbers were all occupied? It's even possible 1-20 could all be on the park at once sometime. But what does DeGoey do in 2016? I suspect he'll get #14

I rather fancy #9 for De Goey in 2016.

Or he could just hang on to 35.

He is not "just a kid" at 26 years of age. I would love to be proven wrong about White, but his career at the Swans before he came to Collingwood was also mostly pretty ordinary. At this stage I would prefer Reid, Gault, Grundy and hopefully soon Moore ahead of White.

Well Manteit might keep #39 after next year simply because it’s a well-known number now, what with Heater having worn it and Carlton's best player making it famous in 2015, but Brendan Abbot might just be looking to snaffle a much lower digit after 2015, I have a really good feeling about this kid, the Rookie draft has been a bit of a gold mine for us over the last several years, and this year might just be right up there. That said, this year will really decide whether Buckley and team are worth anything, MM had a real knack for taking guys way down the order and producing champions (Swan & Beamer to name just two). The two kids we picked up in the Rookie draft look really good, Manteit could be a Daisy Thomas type, and Abbot looks like a young Cloke, have a look at his show reel after just two seasons playing footy, he could be anything, although that surname is a worry, sh*t I hope he's no relation! (and I'm not talking about the unfortunate bowler) My god! If he is a relation he'll get the footy and start taking it apart!!!

Rumour has it that the Abbott that our Brenden is related to is neither the unfortunate fast bowler or the dud Prime Minister. Apparently young Abbott is related to the "Postcard Bandit" Brenden Abbott (who spells his first name in the same unusual way as our Brenden).

I don't even understand why they offered Elliott another number in the first place. WTF was wrong with 19?

Or a cross between Wright and Craig Davis.
