That's a shame, liked Elliott in 19. Bit of Graham Wright about him. Brings a bit of pressure to, following in the footsteps of Buckley, Maxwell, Price (a childhood favorite and it would have been his 5 on my jumper if not for a bloke named J Greening), Wearmouth, Abernathy.
Also would have been nice to see a player make something of 41, Phil Walsh is the last player of note I can recall wearing it and that was only for 1 season. Guess they see him more as a Clement, Oborne, Croall type.

technically we didn't draft him, we took him under the father /son rule. |
He still be called out in the Draft but Still he is not our 1st Pick _________________ I am Da Man |

He was taken with pick 8. We have pick 5 now courtesy of Beams, so pick 5 gets the 35 as it will be our first pick. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Of course!!!
Forgot about pick 5 coming our way. Maybe my mind has blanked out the Beams saga. |

With Jon Marsh being given No. 17 I have no need to change the number of my guernsey. Burns - Beams - Marsh. I still maintain my confidence that the club will knock the rough edges of this guy and he is a star of the future. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

Not happy if this is the case as my no.19 elliot jumper waiting to be opened on christmas day by my son now loses a lot of appeal !!!! _________________ Smells like Pies Spirit |

Moore was selected with our number 9 pick in the draft. Number 35 will go to our number 5 pick, as technically it will be our first pick. |

did we trade Beams just so that we could give Moore 30 without screwing up our tradition of giving the 35 to our top draft pick. Seems like moore than just a coincidence to me....... _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

I am surprised a player would not keep #19... but when the highly respected #5 is available I suppose players have to jump at it.
Could be a sign that Elliot is a strong candidate as a future captain! _________________ Love us or Hate us... we are Collingwood - you can't ignore the Mighty Magpies!!! |

Liked Collingwoodfc. com.au showing off jumpers as they had current player and previous
club champs like #8 the 50,s great full back Jack Hamilton ,the magnificent 2000,s Jimmy Clement and now Tom Langdon
My favorite has alway been 22 as a kid i saw the great Bob Rose and later John Greening
Think Tony Shaw wore it too ????? _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

No I just had a momentary memory lapse but yes Tony did wear 22
Since Bob Rose wore it it was regarded as a special number
Not in my time but a club ledgend Harold Rumney wore it
Another to wear it Bill Serong who i actualy saw _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |
