Big Group is a successful events management group. Could be a good choice.
Hiss you've complained about its absence, now let's see what it holds first before shooting it down. Admittedly it is unlikely to replicate Vic Park's atmosphere, but many of us would be thankful for that. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

How successful have the Swans been since they decided against a move over to the more modern Olympic Park in early 2000's? |

Hiss, you need to realise that the world has continued to turn and evolve.
No one is called a yuppie anymore. The white wine of choice for the trendy people is no longer Chardonnay but Pinot Grigio (Gris)
There is no such thing as a blue collar worker - they all now wear Hi-Viz.
The old concept of the social club is gone. Lets see what the club comes up with and assess it when it is operational. _________________ Now Retired - Every Day Is A Saturday |

Yes, fits into the corporate culture of the new boring Magpies.
Seriously, why do you need an events company to
run the frigging centre.
I'm already turned off.

By then it'll be too late to change it. |

Daisy, Daisy. Give me your answer do. I am half crazy. All for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage. I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet. Upon the seat. Of a bicycle built for two. |

Do you honestly believe we are in a position to influence it or let alone change it now?
The fact is that the decision has been made, contacts signed and all approved by our board.
If things are not right it is either up to the club to revise their decisions and enact a new policy or try (and I mean try??) to influence the board from a members perspective.
The thing about these corporate type clubs, the influence of the membership is becoming more removed and we have to trust in the club servants to do the right thing. |

Agreed - and there would be many opportunities to hire it out as it could be unique.
Betcha its a micro-Crown with as much soul - and over-priced |

I just want a place where I can go before and after a game.
I want a place to get a reasonable priced meal and drink
any day of the week.
I want a place to watch training either inside
the joint or on the terrace next to it.
I want a place where I can see all things collingwood
including replays of any past winning games.
I want a place where I have an attachment to the social club.
I want a place where there are no pokie machines.
I want a place where there is no corporate
culture, where renting out the joint is more important
than looking after the members. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

^^ Pretty much what I want, too. Reckon there is many of us who feel the same. Unfortunately, I doubt we will get our wishes. _________________ kill for collingwood! |
