This could be pretty funny:

http://www.news.com.au/national/palmer-united-party-clive-palmer-expels-jacqui-lambies-chief-of-staff-rob-messenger/story-fncynjr2-1227121682591

Imagine if she challenged for the leadership of the Clive Palmer Party and won? Would that make her Clive Palmer or would the party's name have to be changed? Confused

The way things are heading, I think Lambie is going to run as an independent in the next federal election.

She might be flocked by then.

Which is a pity because I think she went into politics with better intentions than say Julia or Julie but the machine hasn't finished with her yet.

No need—she's in the upper house for another five years, in the Palmer United Party or out of it.

As far as I'm concerned, her only saving grace seems to be her complete hatred of the Liberal Party. Otherwise, she'd look a certainty to become just another right-wing independent vote in their stable.

I would rate them 11 out of 10 as of yesterday. Now the major parties will have to deal with 4 people in the upper house.

I feel PUP is just about dead.

^ As much as the idea of Lambie working on her own scares me, getting rid of the Palmer party's balance of power can only be a good thing, right?

Okay, so maybe not. Please wake me up when this is all over. Crying or Very sad

Lambie is apparently coming under some grief from the ADF because she owes them money.

And in unrelated news, I saw yesterday that Pauline Hanson is planning a comeback.

So does this mean we may see the natural joining of two related forces into the One Ginger Lambie big package party?

Paulines $$ have run out, she knows she won't win but gets $3 a vote.

Lambie will cop heaps because now she is voting against the current Government, she was OK whilst she was for them. Hmmm Peter Slipper comes to mind. lol

While I still think it's a joke that he got in, I was impressed by his article in The Age about unemployment earlier in the week. It was refreshing to read a politician empathise with people on the dole through his own lived experience, not some theoretical concept of how the other half might live.

As the accompanying article pointed out, it's very rare for someone from a genuine working-class background to get a seat in parliament these days. Perhaps we could do with more Ricky Muirs.

Why don't you run? You'd be amazingly incredible.

I genuinely believe I could do better than at least some of the people we've elected. But then, I think you could too, and that's saying something.
