David's weirdo see-no-evil love crush on Nick Two-faces Xewnophraud continues. If anything it's got even worse since seeing the Gutless Grandstander's spectacular betrayal of the South Australians who elected him and the Murray-Darling he pretended to care about for about three days.

The real question here is this: Is Nick Xenophraud any better than a Liberal? Really?

Highlight of the year for mine.

Quote:
Senator Lambie said Senator Bernardi's mock outrage was "like an angry prostitute lecturing us about the benefits of celibacy".

"Before I receive unfair criticism from the sex workers, I apologise to them profusely for comparing them to Senator Bernardi - I know that is a really terrible low-down thing to do," she told parliament on Thursday.

"Prostitutes are far more honest, sincere, humane, compassionate and better bang for buck than Senator Bernardi will ever be able to deliver."

Absolutely nailed it. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Brilliant.

I missed that - been working+++ & night shift too (worked last night) .

Has Lambie matured in her job or have people like Malcolm Roberts who are so crazy that there is little focus on her these days?

Xenophon is metaphorically the 'stone in your shoe' that is a nuisance, but seemingly can't be removed.

A puppet of what and whom, precisely? Is there something we should know about him?

I still haven't made my mind up about him totally, but my impression is that he represents a common-sense, slightly centre-left view of the world that is refreshingly free of partisan baggage. I certainly bear him no ill will for his crusades against pokies and the Church of Scientology and, Tannin, I'm as perplexed by your loathing for him as you are for my lack thereof. If there's a catch, I haven't spotted it yet.

Given the menagerie he's up against, you'd have a hard time convincing me that he (or one of his party colleagues) isn't our least-worst crossbencher. Who do you like better?

Centre-left? Xenofraud?

Hoolie Doolie, whatever you are smoking, I want some.

Xenofraud is an ex-Liberal. He has no known left-wing tendencies or history.

He consistently votes with the LNP on key issues (for example, the Carbon Price, the gutting of the Murray-Darling by Slimy Barnany, the union-bashing bills). This slick fraudster constantly makes headline-hunting noises about keeping the bastards honest, and just as constantly betrays his own words by supporting the government in the votes that count.

He is a scam. A fraud. A scumbag.

The difference between Xenofraud and, say, Jacqui Lambie, is that Lambie never pretends to be anything other than what she is. OK, I don't like her policies most of the time, but she is a genuine, honest person who stands up for what she believes. Compare with Slippery Nick Twofaces.

Or compare him with that fruitcake gun nut from NSW. OK, he's as mad as a snake's bootmaker on acid, and I wouldn't trust him with my sister, but what you see is what you get.

If there is one thing I really loathe in politicians, it's when they pretend to be someone they are not.

Hinch is a nutter. No argument. But at least he never pretended to be anything else.

Pauline Bloody Hanson is more-or-less honest about what she wants to achieve. And she has the moral courage to stick to her aims, stick as close as she sensibly can to what the people who voted for her expected her to do. She too deserves more respect than Xenofraud, who has the moral courage of a drunken weathervane in a tumble dryer.

More self-inflicted chaos, One Nation style:

Going to be a lonely party room for Hanson at this rate.

Oh, and meanwhile, I totally missed this one:

https://www.sbs.com.au/news/tasmanian-independent-senator-steve-martin-joins-the-nationals

First Gichuhi, now this guy. The Coalition seem to be good at picking up stray crossbenchers. Will be interesting to see if they get left on the kerb at the next election in favour of actual candidates or get a chance to run again.

As expected, Burston has quit One Nation and is now sitting in the Senate as an independent.

And Fraser Anning has joined the (now slightly madder) Katters.

Brian Burston has joined Clive Palmer's United Australia Party, which is a pretty weird marriage of convenience.

Fair enough to her, she's called out the general culture and in particular the far right wingnuts crippling the party.

Unfortunately there's enough of them that I can't see any potential liberal leader except maybe Bishop having the balls (ironic statement) to stand up to the gollums and push direction.
