Ya might be lucky n get the odd game, but its the state of the ovals that their more concerned about .
If local footy can play 3 games on their ovals on Saturday, followed by 5 Juniors on the Sunday without an issue. Then the MCG and that other place can play two games without an issue. Local footy does not have the same set up the other stadiums have nor the workforce. It's all about insurance and paying staff.

they have just relaid the turf at the g so you'd think it could manage the odd curtain raiser.

I'm for this as well.

Provided, of course, that the VFL extends the home and away season to give us a few more Vic Park games to make up for the (I presume) home VFL games we would be transferring to the MCG.

Let's not throw away the good thing we have going already at Victoria Park, people...

I agree with you MB!

I don't think playing one or two games at the MCG will do any harm provided that the concept of playing most of our games at Victoria Park is upheld. It's been great for the club and the supporters in the past few years as it's allowed us to be reconnected to our spiritual home and it's a good feeling to have our own reserves side now.

I have been to Victoria Park to watch many games and would prefer
to keep as many VFL games there as is possible
I stand on the wing opposite from social club and the relaxed feeling i love
Family with kids kickin footy ,barbeques going ,groups with eskies
At the break dads tacking kids out for a kick
And being at the ground where the Bob Roses ,Thommo,s McKenna,s and other legends
played i get a sense of our history
