I know of a few members not renewing their 15 membership and im considering not renewing my membership .
Reasons , ,equalisation
Brisbane steal Beams
Suns steal Eade
Dogs can afford 1000000 a yr for Boyd
North

Melbourne queens birthday home game , why do we still give it to them ,
So im wondering why my money should prop up these basket cases , then have em try n charge me more to go to a block buster, im still considering

Depends how many games you go to. If you're going to be paying Gen Ad then the $$$s filter through to them ayway.

Going to the football is all about enjoying the experience and involvement added to the satisfaction of supporting your club.

Only you can determine if the experience is worth the funds and time you commit.

Sometime we need to focus on the big picture an not let those things that annoy us detract from the experience.

This is really a decision only you can make.

If you went to the fan forum or read Nicks' summary of said forum soon after, you would understand why. Essentially, we scratch their back, and the AFL guarantees us a sh!tload of MCG games.

Taking my Collingwood hat off, i would say that we as a club don't own the right to every game we play. We already have, ANZAC day, and home games against every intersate team..... So Melborne gets one quality gate match...would you prefer them to go under? and not play them at all? ...then where does our compertition go???

I live in Broken Hill so my membership is pretty much a donation, and if it comes to I coulldnt care less if Melbourne and others fold, to get the best leauge, only the strongest survive , north , dogs should be long gone by relocation, thats a decision they made, sink or swim.

The origin of Collingwood v Melbourne Queens birthday game i imagine
dates back to the 1964 QBirthday clash where a then (& may still be) record
crowd of 102 ,469 attended the VFL game of the two eventual GF teams that yr
Melbourne won by 4pts
I left the spot where my mates were at half time to go to toilet and got back to said
spot with 10 minutes left in 3rd quarter

I wasn't going to renew my membership. Ultimately, though, after they got Beams out of the mid-field, I decided I had to put my money where my mouth has been since 2011.

Have to agree with ya, hate seeing my hard earned propping up other sides.

Would love to see our membership numbers drop by 10000 because of this and then see what the AFL have to say

Just received my 20 year membership certificate from the club and I am a full social club member living in WA. My membership supports the club and that is all that matters to me. Side By Side.
