They were pretty good. I'm not persuaded that as a band they're more than the sum of their parts but the parts are all good ones.

I wanted to.

Had nobody to go with. I love Dream Theater!

I don't know who I prefer more though, Led Zeppelin or Dream Theater.

Though I was really terrified after Portnoy left, but this dude Mike Mangini is pretty good also!

^^^ If it helps to know, they said they will try to get back sooner than the last gap (which was, I think, 5 years). If you like them, you should certainly try to get there next time - they are a hard-working band (on stage for 3 hours, in two sets of about 1.5 hours each, which I certainly didn't expect) and they are incredibly well-rehearsed. Very, very polished, indeed.

I never saw Led Zeppelin live (although there is much concert-footage of them, of course) but if I had to choose, I'd probably go to both. Laughing

If they ever show Celebration Day in cinemas again, you should see that on the big screen, if you can - it was hard not to be impressed.

I hope that maybe they'll tour Tasmania one day, I have their performance at Budokan on DVD, and it was a great show. I'd love to see them live.

Perhaps with Foo Fighters, and Jimmy Eat World touring Hobart we may see some more bands want to come on down.
