Eddie has done a great job in his role as President - we have sponsors and Eddie does that better than any others in a very competitive market.
Premierships is part of the picture - and he was heavily involved with the hiring of Bux - if the Pies go backward this year Bux is under the pump and Eddie's role and future possibly linked also to the on-ground performances of 2015.
I am hoping the Pies - Bux and Eddie have a good 2015 and can start heading back up the ladder (rather than the opposite direction) and be once again a serious contender for the flag which we have not been in 2013 and 2014!

The only and only thing that matters is a flag.
All other things like sponsors etc..are mere side issues.
Ed's record is average, ordinary, not great, etc.....
better than the dogs, saints, tigers but nothing like the cats
or the hawks.
The idea that ed is great doesn't correspond with reality.
Typical collingwood hype.

Manny typical Collingwood supporters would be very happy with Eddie - nothing wrong with that! The president's role might involves mere side issues for you Thompsoc - but that is the reality! The players and coach are more fairly judged based on on-field performances primarily.
Good on ya Eddie - the guy is not perfect - who is? - but he bleeds black and white!

Been around a lot longer than you.
So called biggest sporting club in the land, so it couldn't
be that hard to earn a penny with sponsors,etc...
given the explosion in TV rights in the last 15 years.
Really, I could write a book on the mistakes, missed opportunities
of the Collingwood Football club post war.
Fact is Hawthorn has 12 flags since 1960 and we have 2.
Eddie has been there 16 years and we are unlikely
to win another flag for at least 2 years.
So that will be 1 flag in 18 years!!!!
As for whether I remember 1999.
Well, I have been watching the Pies since the 50's.
