He used a simple parable to make the point that we are on a journey
And lets keep the faith and see that bus arrive one day in a September
at the "G"

I get the sense Collingwood is your religion...  good on ya barry- hopefully Bux has the goods to take the team to the promised land to claim the holy grail for the faithful believers!
Although it does seem that many heathens are lining up to crucify our ordained messiah...

Been a passion for a lifetime from my first GF (a loss) in 1952 to be followed by the ,53 win
Poured over 2014 with visits to rounds one thru 12 and their footy was as good as anyone going around.
Then the slide in performance,the injuries and the good feeling started to crack
Like all us in the Pie family it hurt and being human i looked for some one to blame
Well time is a healer of sorts and i am looking at positives where they appear
Yes i believe we are on the right path.
Over 62 yrs of watching them win a lot of games
For that joy i pay with belief

Good on you mate.
That sort of loyalty and appreciation is great to see. Some carry on like the club owes them something but in my time watching the Pies (about half as long as your journey) the good times far, far, far outweigh the bad. We owe the club not the other way around for mine.
Keep the belief Baz because people like you make me proud to be a Pies supporter and you deserve to see another Pies premiership in the not too distant future. |
