Be happy if we could just get a few games aligned in 2015. Love doing the double of VFL and AFL. |

yep,we have had a couple of games that have clashed with the afl which means forfeiting attendance to that game.
the wording of that article appears a little ambiguous. are they talking of simply scheduling vic park games before the mcg games or actually playing the vfl games at the mcg prior to the afl game?
Quote: | Collingwood is hoping to play a handful of VFL matches as curtain raisers to some of its senior games at the MCG in season 2015.
The VFL Magpies have never once played a curtain raiser before an AFL game involving their senior equivalent’s since they were reborn in 2008.
That could change next season, according to Football Operations Manager Marcus Wagner.
“We’re going to look to push for some curtain raisers with the AFL this year, so some of the big games at the MCG will hopefully have a Collingwood VFL game beforehand,” Wagner told CollingwoodTV. |

Seems pretty obvious they want VFL games at the MCG... |

What a grand idea, who would think playing the Ressies before the Seniors would be possible? How about a TAC game before that? |

Then the MCG and that other place can play two games without an issue. Local footy does not have the same set up the other stadiums have nor the workforce. It's all about insurance and paying staff.

It would be great to get a curtain raiser at the MCG especially in a game where we are playing an interstate side like GWS for example.
Reminds me of the old days that people have described the footy experience was like. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I'm for this as well.
Provided, of course, that the VFL extends the home and away season to give us a few more Vic Park games to make up for the (I presume) home VFL games we would be transferring to the MCG.
Let's not throw away the good thing we have going already at Victoria Park, people... |
