The report on him sounds promising; get him, the sweeper and Seedy kicking off the halfback line and the disposal efficiency will start looking a lot better

pendlebury 2.0

add him to pendlebury 1.0, karnezis and crisp you may end up with the strong bodied midfield types everyone admires like mundy, fyfe etc.

All right I've changed my mind. Mind you Cardona's reviews only highlight the positive attributes & does so glowingly. While detailed, the review is conspicuous by the absence of describing or even mentioning player deficiencies: Obviously that can be misleading.

Having said that I'll have: #5 Laverde, #30 McLean & a bag of mixed lollies.

Geez there's some choices there. Laverde looks good, I also like the look of Goddard - he could just about play as a 196cm midfielder, and also cockatoo.

Choices.

I used to be undecided, but now I'm not so sure.

Would I be asking too much for 5-Laverde, 30-Cockatoo, 48-McLean?

Yes. Laughing

Cockatoo will go IMO between Norths pick 16 and the saints pick 22.

McLean a good chance of being still there at 48 though he appears all the rage suddenly after initially not being invited to the combine.

Seems to be some talk we're interested in someone by the name of Taylor Grace with that pick 48 who like Langdon last year was an overager at U18 level this season.

Grace named in the TAC team of the year this season.

He's listed on the interchange alongside Ahern a probably top 10 selection.

Seems a likely type.

Or for 5-Laverde, 30-Anderson, 48-Langdon?

Would love Maynard at 30. Though Grace does look good, too.

Yes, and it seems none of them competed in the combine. That or they had an injury of some sort.

Well, after looking at this id be happy with:

Pick 5 Jayden Laverde

Position: Midfielder
Height: 190 cm, Weight: 82 kg, DOB: 12/04/1996
Club: Western Jets

It strikes me weird that he is projected to go between 6 to 20.... to 20???

Surly if he's that good it would say "top 5".

If the 4 players that are projected to go before our pick are gone, then this is the guy I want.

Pick 30 CAN'T DECIDE. TAKE YOUR PICK

Hard to see Brayden Maynard (186cm) or Tom Lamb (192 cm), both listed as forward/midfield, fall that far down.

Like others have said, getting Nakia Cockatoo would be a great steal at this pick. But it's also likely that he'll be gone by pick 30.

Toby McLean looks interesting. An x-factor player, but only 179cm.

And who could pass on a name like Dillon Viojo-Rainbow?

As far as the predicted Damien Cavka. It's all good until I saw this: Plays like: Brent Stanton Shocked

Pick 48 Ed Langdon

Position: Forward/midfielder
Height: 182 cm, Weight: 72 kg, DOB: 02/01/1996
Club: Sandringham Dragons

Could he fall to the rookie draft?? I'll admit I'm a bit of a sentimentalist, so seeing the two bros together works well for me.

His kicking is his strength. And he is a goal kicker. If he plays like Luke Dahlhaus and he is a pacey as they say, then I want him.

Daniel Howe at 191cm and Jack Cripps at 198cm look interesting around that pick.

Post subject: Tyler KeitelReply with quote

He's my friend's son. I've known all along he would play AFL and finally the opportunity presents himself.

Unfortunately, on a needs basis, I don't believe he is what we're after but I sure hope he gets to the Pies. This is from a selfish perspective only but mind you, he's a very good footballer and could be the long term replacement for Cloke.

Paige has him going at 28 to the 'enemy'.

Pick 28: Carlton - Tyler Keitel

Position: Key forward/defender
Height: 194 cm, Weight: 86 kg, DOB: 07/02/1996
Club: East Perth
Projected draft range: 15-30
Plays like: Lachie Henderson

Tyler Keitel has been immersed in first round discussions for a few months now. However, he realistically may fall through to the second round, depending on movement higher up the board. Thanks largely to a well-documented growth spurt, Keitels development as a key position player rather than a flanker has seen him taste action in a variety of roles, including defence and even in the ruck. In terms of his abilities as a key position prospect, his recovery is fantastic: if he goes to ground, he bounces straight back up, and has a willingness to play high half forward, which is a natural instinct that has stemmed from when he was a smaller flanker. He is mobile and athletic, and possesses a terrific leap at the ball. With those traits alone, he is highly regarded as a player who could mature into a damaging swingman at the next level. In defence, he is aggressive and physical, given he spoils well and doesnt mind body-on-body scraps in a duelling contest, which was on full displayed in battles with Patrick McCartin and Darcy Moore. Keitel has a lot of swagger about him, possessing a certain cockiness and arrogance in small doses that you want out of your key forward or defender. Overall, he strikes me as your second best key forward or defender as opposed to the number one, which is why he falls down the order fractionally.

I heard that leverde slip in draft range was due to his testing. He was carrying an injury
