Get over it. Life is too short to hate. But the truth of the matter is that we have shot ourselves in the foot more times than other clubs have hurt us over the years. As 1970 says, it's in our DNA.

The bottom line is last Friday we knocked back this trade and were keeping Beams. Today it's supposedly the best thing since sliced bread. We are being mocked as flip-floppers. And you can't argue with that - much.

Would like to thank the collingwood football club for the past 6 years . You gave me the opportunity to live my dream . Thankyou .

The decisions I've made are for what I think is best for myself, partner and family and that is all that matters to me at the end of the day

Lastly I'm looking forward to continuing my career with the lions and my best mate and my brother . Thankyou to everyone who has supported

As far as I'm concerned this is enough. It's now case closed. Dayne has moved on and so should we. No point acting like the jilted lover.

Thanks for the memories Dayne. All the best with your family

Very well said Deja Vu.

Either we should upgrade it to 3, or swap it out and upgrade 30 and downgrade pick 5 slightly... just my opinion, but if we're not going to get what we want (need) at 5, it might be prudent to do some sneaky wangling.

I was thinking last night about Dayne's tweets, I can't see one of his wishes coming true. Dayne's brother is just an average footballer and I'm of the belief he is a midfielder. With Dayne coming in and also Christensen can't see Claye being in the best 22.

This is going to be interesting next year to see if Brisbane play Claye. Anyway just my 2 cents.

Who cares?

Now that the AFL funds have dried up, it'll take them 30+ years before they win another flag...

Funny thing - my son played a few games in the Lions ressies this year with both Claye Beams and Crisp in the side. He reckoned in one game the opposition gave it to Claye all day: "Hey, I know you! Aren't you Dayne Beams' brother?" Unfortunately for him I think that's all he will be and you are right - he'll be lucky to play alongside his brother. My lad also reckons Crisp is a really top bloke - he was quick to take the top up Academy boys under his wing and help them through both on and off the field.

They can have their twitter fun, as long we the Pies get the four points it doesn't mean much.
