Pardon my ignorance but is Freeman a potentially similar type of player to Beams with the added bonus of leg speed

Anyone remember what his disposal was like in his draft year? Of course his pace through the middle is the main feature of his game but is he a decent kick or clean with his hands?

Plonk Freeman up forward and let him run into open goals... some real pace up forward can add a lot of defensive pressure also to help generate turnovers and more scoring opportunities!

Pre-season last year he appeared likely to play up forward predominantly while he picked up the pace of AFL football.

Kicking was OK at training but not known as a great user.

Had surprisingly good hands on a lead.

Strong boy and very fast.

Fingers crossed they don't run him into the ground again. Madness

from what i have seen he doesn't look like a fella who takes half measures. that he may have gone too hard could be just as likely a contributor to his circumstances.

There is a rumour that we have simply ditched all the faulty body parts, kept the good bits, then meshed them together to create a new and very promising recruit named Foxley.

At the same time we have opened up a vacancy on the list.

Very clever Collingwood.

I thought (from the little I saw him) Freeman would be an ideal Harry replacement, and I have huge hopes for Shazza though I've never seen him run. Freeman and Greenwood, especially if Beamer stays and Swanny returns to form, could turn our midfield into the equal of Hawthorn & Freo. Then again, does every side have kids we don't know about who they think will be the next big thing?

How much will Marsh's late season injury interrupt his pre season?

I think they said it was a 12 week injury in August. So he should be ok to go for the start of preseason hopefully.

Can someone remind me who Oxley is again? Not sure I've ever seen him play.

Great mark, cool head, good kick - others have commented on BF that he's slow - I never noticed that. Good sense of timing.

If he doesn't make it as a footy player he's got the ingredients to be a good comic or entertainer Wink
