Just got selected in the All Australian squad. Yeah, we're paying a first rounder for him, and I honestly don't mind Smile

Not to often do we Collingwood get a top 5 selection and that's exactly what he's worth according to a lot of people in the know.

For me when you look at him he still has some filling out to do so unlike a Boyd or Patton before him isn't a man playing against boys already and isn't going to dominate as easily as they could at U18 level.

Welcome to Collingwood Darcy Moore.

We get an amazing number of top 10 picks though, and wasn't T.Cloke considered top 5? So we did have Thomas, Pendlebury, Ball and Cloke at one stage.

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-07-04/under18-all-australian-team

VIC METRO didn't win the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships but has dominated the All Australian team, with seven players selected in the prestigious squad.

Metro has the most players from any state in the side, led by Larke Medal-winning midfielder Christian Petracca.

Other Metro draft prospects given All-Australian honours were Ed Vickers-Willis and Angus Brayshaw in defence, midfielder Paul Ahern, ruckman Peter Wright, and forwards Darcy Moore and Jayden Laverde.

I guess the question will be do we draft on current talent and will he blossom into a star?

Has great potential for someone who is 200cm..Pace, agility etc wether that alone is worth a first round will be debated by the Pies recruiting team.

the debate was had some time ago. there is nothing left to debate. the pies have confirmed that they are taking him.

Let's just hope we can wait a year or two before the "Overrated" threads start. Ah, who am I kidding. They'll be here as soon as he miskicks in training. Very Happy

According to the Herald Sun we might have to give up 2 Picks IF we want Moore.

Bloody Idiots at the AFL
