That has a Bit Hine Behind That.
Studying has also given him something else to focus on, besides the likelihood he will join the Magpies as their first pick at this year's draft. Moore has tried to not allow any of that distract him.

"I’m just putting myself in a bubble and trying to impress [Vic Metro coach] David Flood and [Oakleigh Chargers coach] Justin Wenke … and we'll see how that unfolds as the championships end. Obviously having my old man, he's been through all that and given me perspective on it.

Great Attitude. Play Good Footy and the Rest will take care of Itself

He has more pressure on his shoulders than most potential draftees, but he's also been gifted an old man who's been there and done that, but like any 18 year old he'll look back on his junior days and laugh in 10 years time, that doesn't change no matter who you are, and the older you get the funnier it becomes. _________________ Defender...........

I was just watching future stars with the volume turned down (bloody kids), noticed shifter had a bit to say after the Moore highlights were shown, seemed to be arguing with that little parasite, any chance of a run down of the convo Dave? _________________ Defender...........

Hi Defender,
Heard it briefly, said that Darcy a definite top 5. Has all the attributes for AFL.
Will go to pies at around 12-13. |

Shifter was Correct in saying it’s When and not IF when we sign Moore.
He said he is a Top 5 Prospect and where pies would use a pick in the 12-14 Range _________________ I am Da Man |

Well, there's zero doubt we will be signing him.
This
Quote: | Agile, quick and athletic |
With this: 199cm (possibly taller)
and this: has grown up with and understands the game
and this: plays both ends as well as some ruck
All mean he was always likely to go top 10. Throw in a couple of good performances in the TAC Cup (one forward, one back), and he is a top 5 selection or very close to.
A pity we couldn't tank and take a top 5 pick as well as Moore in the second round. But we'll be getting a talented player at a bit of discount, and one that fills a need to boot. _________________ Well done boys! |

^Well given we wouldn't have gotten him at all if not for father/son then I feel he's a big steal at our first selection even if his worth his considered only half a dozen selections ahead of our first round pick. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

I guess the question will be do we draft on current talent and will he blossom into a star?
Has great potential for someone who is 200cm..Pace, agility etc wether that alone is worth a first round will be debated by the Pies recruiting team. |

The answer is yes. I don't think there's much debate. It's not only on potential, his performances have been good enough. As Matty points out above, good enough to be named All Australian.
Outside the top 10 it's a no-brainer. Pies will take him. _________________ Well done boys! |
