If Darcy was really desperate to stay ...he would have signed.
If the club was desperate for darcy to stay...they would have uped the money.
He may well sign or he may not.
He is in his prime so he could be a great catch for the Swans.
But again, he maybe another nathan freeman.

Darcy didn't sign because he wanted to get on the park and prove his worth to up the offer. That didn't happen, so now we're back to negotiating.

I believe it was always about the $ and maybe the term of the contract, not that he ever actually wanted to leave.

Is TB usually reliable, or does he simply guess things that are reasonably likely to happen anyway?

TP is a hard hitting sometimes hard drinking woman!
She would be highly insulted being called a he!
Which reminds me at my work we have a few Trans.
I have been told I should address them as THEY!
Very very difficult to use a plural word when addressing an individual.

Should I have written it out in full to circumvent jokes?
On your dilemma: why not simply address them by their names, rather than any pronoun? Or do you not know the names of your colleagues? (That reminds me of G. Ablett Sr.)

Well I got that wrong.
It was TB not TP.
My mistake so my apologies.
As for my dilemma. It is difficult when referring to them as he/she
Instead of they when talking about them to other people.

Darcy lease please stay, you will find no greater fan base, supporter base than us. Don’t goooooo

Spot on, look the swannies are on the down slide now, they have been a wonderful team, making so many finals, but the party is over now. Hannebery and rowan r gone, they know its done, and all they have is an ageing Buddy, a the tail end, the swans window for a flag, is now shut hard. If Darcy goes there hes joining them at worst possible time, no finals, no flags, its over. Over.

Stay Darcy, u will become a Magpie legend, and may you will play in at least two Collingwood Premierships, minimum. !!!!! Smile Exclamation

It is obvious that the club has some concern witj him.
Whether it his soft tissue issues, commitment or some ill defined character problems ...I don't know....something is there.
I hear all sorts of rumours but it was pretty odd that he wasn't even named as an emergency last saturday.
A frend of mine said he looked and trained amazing well last week.
The guy could become an A grader quite easily.
This is why he is a valuable commodity.

3 points.

1. the issue is purely money. he wanted 700 club offered 400. that gap can be bridged without animosity.

2. I heard they were attributing his hamstring problems to growth and that he is doing some sort of special training to help this issue.

3. because of 2 I think we shut him down and I'm sure we had zero confidence in his ability to get through a game. you don't bring a player into a grand final and risk upsetting team chemistry. especially a fragile one physically. unless the change is forced.

You know I have been an advocate of Moore playing in our GF team and believe that we probably win the game with him in.

I'd be keen to see him retained. I think he will be a star if he gets some continuity on the park. Tall, quick, incredibly athletic. Can be anything.

I want Darcy to stay but I’d like him to work through the pain barrier and be more like Pendles and work through his injury issues out on the ground than in the medical room.

The other issue regards where he plays. I’d like him to be a swing man starting on the bench and working between defence and attack. The model he needs to follow is Westhoff of the Port Adelaide footy club.

That's just an ignorant comment and totally disrespectful. You ever had suspect hammies? It has absolutely nothing to do with working through pain. Any tightness means a high risk of reinjuring, if you've had a history. Pulling out is the wise thing to do.

You can make excuses all you like. Treloar did both his hammys in the one action and was busting his guts to get back on the field. He was also one of our best players in the GF after returning to the field about 8 weeks after doing his, which is about the same length of time Moore was out for straining his hammy. Moore is a freak on a football field - lightening quick, a great mark and accurate shot on goal. If Moore is not re-signing with us there should be 17 other clubs breaking down the doors at Holden Centre to get his signature. Only one club, Sydney is thinking about it and may not make an offer. What does that tell you?
