Hird is gonsky. It's just a matter of working out the specifics. Caro wouldn't just make this up; too much to lose for her and her paper. She obviously has a source on the Board, just as her source at Collingwood is very high up in the pecking order; and no it isn't Joffa. Suspect the delay is to work out a smooth takeover by Thompson and to ensure the payout is minimal and that no legal action from Tania results. _________________ After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!

While desirable, it would have been seen as indecent to have announced the Hird sacking with such haste.
This way there is time to explore the legal consequences as well as get the board together to then make the decision on the Monday I suspect. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Funny how his loyalty to Hird has suddenly vanished now that he wants to stay on. The knives have well and truly come out! |

with haste? surely this type of discussion would have been well and truly had by now. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

Been nothing hasty about this whole sorry saga. And Little will be next out the door. Can't believe how much Mark Robinson is painting Hird as some sort of martyr at every opportunity in print and on radio. Pathetic. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Haste in terms of the announcement last night that he couldn't attend the best & fairest is what I was referring to. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

Looks like the meeting was a chance for Turd to fall on his sword and reclaim some honour. Unsurprisingly he's choosing to fight, no matter what anyone says and despite a victory will have him out of football just the same as a defeat.
If he can't be convinced to stand aside I reckon the board will tell him they're keeping Thompson on. |

Hardly a fair poll.
I voted for him to be sacked. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
