How much of a payout does he get if he is sacked? He will have done well if he squeezes another $1Mil out of the club without doing any work.
How much member's money has been wasted on him so far, there is at least $1Mil salary for not working, countless legal fees and an all expenses holiday to France and the USA. |

^ The wealthy supporters will fund part of it. Bombers will be fine in the long run.
Caro reports that he was given the option of being sacked or resign with payout. |

Caro has called it:

James Hird has been removed as coach of Essendon. The first stage of his removal took place on Wednesday when the outgoing club legend was given the opportunity to resign with a nominal payout or be sacked.
Bombers chairman Paul Little is believed to have met Hird in one of his South Yarra offices shortly before Wednesday night's Crichton Medal count and given him a document outlining the first stage of his departure. |

Or, maybe not: from the AFL's live blog at 12.06pm: "UNCONFIRMED: The Herald Sun reporting that James Hird has not been sacked. Fairfax v News, not for the first time."
I am confused. Are you?
Edit: I think the AFL is referring to this:
"UPDATE: ESSENDON has denied reports that coach James Hird has been sacked.
Responding to reports that Hird had been sacked, Essendon spokesman Justin Rodski said at noon: "No. That is wrong."
Hird is currently in a meeting with club bosses at their headquarters in Tullamarine over his future."

So I guess its back to sunny France, with missus in tow, for another European long, long vacation, all on the silly Dons expense, all on their coin. ?? Has their ever been a dumber club, Board ??. I guess now Thommo becomes coach again, while golden boy -who aint so golden now-suns himself in south of France. on Dons members fees. What a joke of a club, just a joke now. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

NP man.
I made comment of it, you posted it
Teamwork I say!
To be honest, I'm waiting for a statement from the club (Essendon) before make the big call. I think the thread name was changed a bit early. |

In the interests of trying to keep the "news" in this thread up to date, I'm reposting this:

No Way!
Is it hard to make arrangements with yourself, when you're old enough to repaint but young enough to sell???
Don't let it bring you down, it's only castles burning..

The worst outcome of this is that Caroline will no longer have Essendon to torment and will return to her obsession with Eddie / Bucks / Mick. |

The corrected thread title (corrected from an earlier correction) has now been corrected.
