David, you make a lot of sense, but what about this idea; when a thread is moved or merged we see the following:
Buckley Hints at Dangerfield Draft: Moved to DTM thread.
What do you think?

I went searching for a thread I'd started the other day after thinking at first iit had been deleted for some reason. I found it, but it would have been helpful to know it had been moved and to where.

While we're at it David, can't we just have the Other AFL thread moved to be directly below General Discussion? It would be more relevant than Buy Trade Sell.

I read quite well thanks. Smile

There's been many different threads on the same subject matter popping up growing annoying and the mods made the decision to merge them.

I don't see the issue, tbh.

Hi Neil,

We do occasionally leave a ghost of the thread in the original forum with a "Moved:" prefix, but with the number of new threads started during the trade period (many on the same subject) you'd just end up with half a page full of moved threads in General Discussion—kind of counterproductive, I feel. Better to just check the D&T forum if you can't find a trade-related thread. Can be a bit of a pain, I know, but seems like the least worst solution to me.

Re: the Other AFL forum, I think that's a fair suggestion. There are probably decent arguments each way. I'll put it to the rest of the mods team and see what they think.
