According to the facebook AFL trade page:
Heritier Lumumba's manager Ben Niall has told NAB AFL Trade Radio on Monday that a second-round pick would be fair compensation for the 2010 premiership player and All Australian, who will play his 200th AFL game in round one, 2015 since emerging off Collingwoods rookie list. Melbourne understood to be content on trading away their second round selection, currently pick 22 for Lumumba.
Not sure what others think, but i would argue that is a big win for the Pies. Could we, with pick.22 chase a player like Mullet from North?
Jon Ralph from the Herald Sun is asking the question that with the imminent arrival of Shaun Higgins will Aaron Mullett seek a trade for more opportunities?
@RalphyHeraldSun: When Higgins arrives at North they have him, McDonald, Atley, McMillan as small defenders/half backs. Would Mullett want out?
Mullett has been linked to Collingwood who shown a small amount of interest.

I've got the feeling it will be H for Clarke & a round 3 swap of picks to favour us. _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman |

There's no favourite atm. My speculation is based on Melbourne having a say & we have H, H wants to go to Melbourne, Melbourne wants H.
That being said Geelong may offer Melbourne more than us. _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman |

Nothing is done and dusted until paperwork lodged at the AFL during the trade period. |

We need a player for H, although I am not sure that Melbourne have one for us. Brisbane are also offering Pick 4 for Beams and that isn't acceptable either. We have some good kids but if we are giving away a player at his peak (Beams) and 200 game player who may have dropped off a little but is still in our first 22 (H) then we want something similar. Pick 4- even if he is brilliant, will take four years to get to where Beams is now. Pick 22, which appears to be what Melbourne are offering, would take three years to get to where Heritier is now, and four years to get to where he was at his best. _________________ Born and raised in Black and White |

I'd suggest pick 22 isnt quite enough for H. They'd need to trade it up. Luke Ball for pick 30 was a gooden but like Kerry Packer only ever had one Alan Bond we'll only ever have one St KildA. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Damn shame we didn't get Clark. Would have been a cheap great addition to our fwd line.
Who the hell for H? I'd go for picks at this point. The higher the better _________________ âI even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didnât keep âem under long enoughâ Kinky Friedman |

PICK 22 FOR H WOULD BE "TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN" ASAP. WE CAN SECURE A GUN WITH THAT AS IT IS THE EARLIEST OF SECOND RD PICKS!! _________________ I love the Pies, hate Carlscum |

They can give us their first and second round pick and we give them our first round plus H.
H is worth more than a second round pick, actually I don't like talking first round, second round, etc etc.... its pick 22 and if you pick a 17 year old that is regarded the 22nd best kid with years of development still to be put in to him and you don't know if he will still make it like H did ( AA thankyou very much ) then I know who gets the best end of the deal. _________________ Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero. |

Bernie vince went to dees for # 23. Harry and Vince have similar footy profiles in terms of their footy abilities. # 22 seems about right to me.
At pick 22, In derek hine we trust.
Im hearing that mitch clark and travis varcoe will be close to a straight swap.
Also hear that mullet and pies are further down the track than is public. Mullet is sick of being scotts whipping boy and wants to go to pies. He was in top ten in kangas 2013 B and F. Good pace, can find it but hasnt been fully commited to the cause to date. Time will tell. |
