Nice little video on Collingwood webpage of sons of Collingwood greats.
Narrated by Barry "Bubba "Price as he explains who have been working at
Daicos Academy ,Westpac for last 12 months.
Sons of Daics ,Rowdy , Craig Kelly and Saint coach Alan Richardson
Working with boys are Barry Price & Scott Lucas
Bubba said we teach footy skills but also decision making
With Mr.Price that was a thing he excelled at
An A1 guy was Barry _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I was impressed by it too....especially when Barry Price, a legend in his own right, who is running the program, started getting excited describing the incredible skills of the Daicos boys!
They've got a long way to go for sure, and might not make the grade but wouldn't it be sensational to have another 2 Daicos' playing for us? By the look of them it's about 4 or 5 years away yet, but I can't wait.

One of them looked like a big unit, I'm guessing Craig Kelly's son. Looks a bit like him and his brother Jake. |

I did a you tube on Barry Price with attached video of his Hall of Fame at Pies and some footage of his brilliant 60meter low level passes that backmen could, nt stop hiiting Peter Mc Kenna hard on the chest---Macca said "I had red welts on my chest for days"
He captained Pies wearing No. 5
As I said a quiet modest champ with silky skills and faultless characture

Sorry |
Barry Price was an absolute star, but never captain. He and Thorold Merritt were probably the two best stab passes the game has ever seen. |

THIS is what excited me about that video.
Imagine the half forward or full forward line of
Daicos - Moore - Daicos.
Oh my........ |

By all accounts Billy Goggin was right up there with them, ditto our own Des Healy. |

I didn't see Healy but Goggin, great footballer that he was, just wasn't on Price's level as a stab-passer. |

I've seen footage of Goggin hitting Doug Wade lace out with a beautiful stab pass that went like a rocket no more than a metre off the ground. It was superb.
That was only a one off but if Barry Price was even better than that he must have been absolutely unbelievable. |
