Is it any possibility that we could recruit Liam Jurrah to the footy club.

He is exactly what we need football talent wise and everyone deserves a second chance (Maybe third or fourth).

We could pick him up in the Pre Season Draft cheap as chips.

His best football is scary and he is an accurate kick.

I say take the risk.

I'm not sure what team you've been watching but how many accurate, quick and good markking 190cm forwards do we have? Oh yeah ...... 0

I'd rather take a punt on Dayle Garlett.

How's he going by the way?

Playing WAFL?

There are a few guys who've had opportunities and either failed to seize them or stuffed up big time, who are currently playing minor leagues somewhere. Club should be looking at all of them and then recruit as and when appropriate. Think there'd be others such as Thorp and Connors ahead of him, based purely on his inability to get his off field issues sorted.

Liam is a very talented footballer without a doubt, but he's a player that comes with too much baggage and the fact that Buckley has been 'cleaning up' the culture of the club in the past year indicates we wouldn't even attempt to go after him.

I'd be interested to hear Rudeboy's thoughts on how Liam is tracking at the present time as he obviously knows him personally.

He should be just getting out of jail going by the below article

http://www.ntnews.com.au/news/centralian-advocate/exafl-star-liam-jurrah-sentenced-to-threemonths-jail-for-assaulting-his-wife/story-fnk4wgm8-1226910653038

I think before he gets re-exposed to the pressures of playing in the AFL he should be given time to get his life back in order.
