He'd be a good bloke to have around, distracting the media from our 'freefall' |

Oh, NPM, what a letdown. You should think about having that premature expostulation treated. |

Clearly we should put him in charge of our sports science department. Or maybe Governance Compliance Officer.
And Tanya can come on board as head of legal. |

I like the way you think sir. Hire would be a good compliance officer. I hear he knows how to work a shredder. |

I admire james hird.
He is willing to sacrifice everything
because he believes that the club took no
illegal substances.
It is a matter of principle - he thinks he is innocent
and the wheels of justice must turn fully
before he can move forward.
This whole doping saga has been a joke.
It must go to court to prove one way or the other.
If you are innocent and terrible charges
have been levelled at you then you want your
day in court!
I would do the same thing if I was james.
The board has no choice but to sack him
but that doesn't mean it is right. _________________ we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest. |

Talk to any lawyer. These are the words they love to hear more than any others. It's music to their ears! Kaching!!
Hird has simply proven that he's put himself ahead of the players.
Meanwhile over at BomberBlitz they are delusional. They think he is orchestrating this in concert with Bomber so he can move aside and allow the club to get on without him. He can do no wrong in their eyes. _________________ 'Collingwood are the Bradmans of Football'

Actually, any lawyer worth her or his salt pushes hard from the very outset to dissuade the client from that kind of thinking. |

in a strange sense i thought hird's latest move to appeal was an astute decision. there's obviously a lot at stake for him which he believes is worth fighting for. i have disliked the way he and his camp have carried on but he must fight for his reputation. additionally, by appealing he can continue on without the need to resign which, if he did, would effectively be conceding his position. if he wins the appeal he retains his reputation, is vindicated and he rescues the situation somewhat. if he loses he sails off into the sunset still without accepting or conceding accountability, reputation damaged. _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |
