Blease is a blinkers-wearing ball hog version of James Wasley.
Essentially Happy Gilmore on teh skate rink (i.e. fast, no stopping)

I'd love to get Blease, if not for for sentimental reasons, having worked with his late father Geoff many years ago.
Sadly he passed away a few years before Sam was drafted, believe it or not, he had a heart attack whilst watching Friday night footy at home. Very sad for the family, but it never stopped Sam from pursuing his AFL dream. |

We need some pace especially in the forward line and Garlett fits that criteria and imagine if we had Cloke, Clark and Garlett in the one team. It would make for a potentially deadly combination if all players were in-form.
Garlett needs to sort out his behavioural issues before we strongly consider him but maybe a fresh start is what he needs. I'm certainly open to the idea of recruiting him but I wouldn't give Carlton too much to obtain him though. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

I read about that a while back when Sam was first recruited by the Demons. It was a shock to hear initially but credit to him for continuing to pursue his dream to play at the highest level.
I hope the kid can get a second chance elsewhere wherever that may be. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Blease will go to the Doggies via Pre Season Draft.
Garlett to ???.
Love how every player is linked to or wants Collingwood. _________________ All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Would prefer we get games into Broomhead, Kennedy and Freeman types rather than draft more NQR rejects from other clubs. Can't see either Blease or Garlett catapulting us into the top 4. |

Blease is as fast than any player, lacks skill & Footy smarts. Garlet has pace, okay skills, has some footy smarts.
Neither are stand outs.

If they can not cut it for a game at Melbourne and Carlton, why would they get a game with us?
