Blease V Garlett???????

I'm convinced the Pies need pace.

Given they are both bargain basement could they be of value or just clog the list?

I think Garlett is worth a crack, seems exactly what we've been missing, but I'd want a few behavioural clauses put in the contract.

Blease is super quick, but not a good footballer.

Garlett is super quick and a good footballer......but wants to return home to the west.

I say pass on both.

One of those facebook pages reported that Garlett has sought a trade to the Pies.

"Carlton's Jeff Garlett has reportedly requested a trade to Collingwood.

Both Essendon and West Coast have been named as other clubs to express the interest in the small forward."

No source given, but this page has been spot on so far. Whoever is running it aggregates stories rather than just making shit up.

If he wants to come to us, then I'd be rapt.

I was only cold on the idea because I thought he wanted to return to the West. He has pace and is a real talent.

I'd love him to blossom at the pies, if only to rub it in MM's nose.

WOW going by media reports, we will have 78 players on our list in 2015.

But how will they all fit within the salary cap?

That would make a change. Laughing

There strike rate is usually on par with burnsy17.

I'd love him to kick the winning goal for Collingwood in a Grand Final, running away from a limping Dale Thomas, if that could be arranged! Laughing

I'm not sure my heart could stand it but damn it would be worth it to see that.

pff i would be happy for him to just kick a goal against Carlton Very Happy the days of "santa's helpers" will feel like history then to Carlton!

But i have thought for awhile that he is a style of player we desperately lack.

Pretty sure his son and (ex?) wife are in Vic. Doubt he would want to leave his kid behind.

I'd love to see him at the pies, the nightclub incident this year seems to be a one off, unless I'm forgetting a previous indiscretion, and based on his career rather than just this years form, he is a top quality crumber, which we have been crying out for.

He's just turned 25, so the age profile is right. Has his limitations but also some qualities that we're in need of, namely pace and foot skills. And at 180cm he just avoids being added to our list of midgets Wink.
