Post subject: Wanna watch the Pies? Foxtel Price Slashed up to 50% | |
|
Hello,
First off, be confused by my wording of 'up to'.
This will get moved at some point as it's not directly Collingwood, but affects Collingwood supporters.
Foxtel have slashed their subscription cost (I think from November 3) of their basic package from $50 to $25.
That means you can get the sport package, you also MUST have the basic package, for $50 a month. That's down from $75.
For somebody like myself who has Netflix and Hulu+ and who was going to cancel my fox subscription, that's almost enough for me to keep it.

I got rid of Foxtel after they stopped the footy channel. They made me send the box back, and then charged me three months in a row. i rang them each time, they would say they would refund me, and the next month it happened again. After the third month when they said they would refund me, but didn't. i wrote a letter to them, being sick of being fobbed off on the phone, and the mongrels told me that the credit department had overruled the person who had promised to refund me, and had converted it to a credit I could use when i decide to get Foxtel again! Which will be NEVER
I will never let those thieves anywhere near my credit card again. _________________ ___________________

^ Quite right. Though if it wasn't for the sport and the fact the V8's are going to Fox next year, I wouldn't have it. |

however, I did read that if you have your foxtel through Telstra as a bundle, Telstra's pricing is separate..... hmmmmm so I'm bundled and waiting to see what I can get. _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

I don't want all the other crap...just sports and AFL.
What is the point of paying for stuff I will never watch. _________________ All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Cool. Someone needs to bump this thread come November 3 to remind existing subscribers to request the price change from Foxtel _________________ http://youtu.be/hvtdbfI1sqQ |

I'm still cancelling. Called them three months ago to cancel and they slashed the price to $42 a month (was paying $84).
It stops once the footy is over.
Next year I will use a smart DNS service, use AFL International Streaming and combine it with Netflix and Hulu (so much cheaper than Foxtel). |
