Operation number 1 post season should be to extend Beams existing contract by 3 years and also give him a large increase for his current last year which apparently is only between $400,000-$450,000 a year. Beams is undoubtedly our 2nd best player game in and game out plus is our only genuine goal kicking midfielder at crunch times! Perty do it!

I'm sure the club would love to extend his contract, at the end of the day it's up to Beamer.

If he intends on leaving next year it's in our best interests to trade him this year, but I highly doubt he's considering going anywhere, he's a pie for life IMO.

As everyone is aware I'm a huge Beams fan knowing the kid since he was very young. I called his father during the week and he said Dayne hasn't mentioned a thing to him which if there was any truth in it his father would know as Dayne and him are very close. Dayne often uses his parents for advice on all matters.
Remember this is a kid who by passed a certain AFL contract with the suns to go into the draft then knocked back a serious approach in 2012 to re-sign with the pies early on much less coin than he could have attracted on the open market (remembering he was in the middle of a AA & Copeland winning year being the only player other than Ablett to average 30+ a game)
He said when asked after being drafted originally he went into the draft hoping to go to a big Melbourne club as he wanted to live and breathe AFL in its heartland.

Shouldn't we know about his opinion on certain social matters, and whether his thinking is always inline with the club's first?

He isn't to old, but if we're talkin 800kpa he's overrated.

If he's worth 800kpa Pendles is worth 1.5 mill.

Sometimes you have to watch extending beams. If you don't provide enough supports for the beams and fasten them properly, it can lead to sagging you know.

Geez I got excited by the topic heading.....

I know they can perform miracles at the westpac centre, but being able to extend Dayne Beams might just be the most impressive of all....

A 195cm Beams playing alongside Cloke in the forward line,

I'd like to see that 😜😜😜
