Quote:
Collingwood is likely to part ways with premiership player Heritier Lumumba after he criticised the club for not acting on a homophobic slur and after a series of intense discussions in recent weeks have now broken down.

If the reasons in the article are the ones he is leaving for than hopefully the door doesn't break when it hits him on the way out.

If true, may well be for the best; the mans priorities dont seem to be dedicated to football, his contracted position. If your going to get upset over some ambiguous graffiti get a job as a sociologist in a government department.

Sounds like he wants out, and is using this as an excuse.

Thanks for your service H, but if you don't want to be here then see ya.

Surprised about this ? No
H has been at pains for the past few years under the Buckley era and he seems to let little things have a huge impact on him personally.
While no one should ever feel uneasy in the work place the said poster and comment could hardly be conceived as a personal attack or offensive in real terms of the environment he works in.
Maybe H needs a fresh environment to ply his trade.

Not great defensively and a poor kick. Not the player he was. If he lets something as trivial as that bother him then see you later.

Dunno if H's persona would gel at any club.

Might be time to express himself beyond football.

His form of late reflected a guy who had lost the passion to compete.

I like H, I'd be sad to see him go but if he's going to get overly precious he won't fit in at any AFL club.

Excellent news. Has become a horrible player, is a weak on field leader with poor decision making skills.

Didn't realize he is only 28 at the start
of next season.
Thought he was 30 plus so some loss to us.

Is he contracted? If so I wonder what we might ask for him, love to get a sub 30 pick.
