Was at the Westpac Centre this arvo discussing the exciting new initiative regarding the Ponsford Stand with Eddie, Justin and Chris.

The Banners will be back next year bigger than ever, bigger graphics, bigger everything.

The three bays behind the goals will be probably know as the Barrackers End ( See the barrackers are shouting ) Memberships cards / Tickets for these three bays in this area will be marked as The Barrackers End.

Nothing has been finalised as yet but we are well on the way, If anyone else has an idea for a name for this area please let us know. Eddie wants wants everyone involved in this, so your input is important.

Floggers will go across the whole three bays, Will be a huge emphasis on hand held banners and flags.

Being The Barrackers End we want to bring back the spirit of what it is like to follow this great football club.

Banner making nights in Eddies words is its going to be an event, Kids and families and players to attend, BBQ and Pizza will be on the menu.

Banner will be made at the Westpac Centre every Thursday evening.

Being The Barrackers End all will be invited to go wild with passion, To stand to cheers to support the boys.

Brand identification will be introduced right across the Ponsford Stand, The football world will be in awe.

The Cheer squad as we knew it will be no more, Its now three bays wide known as the Barrackers End.

All members who are seated in this area will receive info and updates in two weeks time.

Like Eddie said your input will be appreciated and definitely taken on board.

I like it. Just like Side By Side, it utilises our song mantras, which is great.

Note, that from a grammatical perspective, it should be: THE BARRACKERS’ END

My seat is far enough to the side to be out of the road, so I'm not directly effected.

I'll watch with a lot of interest how this plays out. People being people many a well intentioned concept has been derailed by the law of unintended consequences.

I've got a few suggestions... albeit 1 controversial.

For Collingwood home games, like what Essendon do at Etihatd, the Ponsford stand could be renamed the 'Jock McHale Stand' and when you're kicking to that end, it's known as the Jock McHale End.

Also, that big bloody banner that reads 'Collingwood domination, the envy of the nation' would look good suspended from level 2 or 4.

once upon a time the cs were fed and looked after at banner making. ever sonce justin reeves took over things like this lost its soul. give the slogans back to the fans too. have a fan comp again and allow the winner the opp to go on the ground with their slogan on the banner. this was a great comp and there were some terrific suggestions.

the gws banner got misplaced by our logistics company.

I love the sound of it and Brenny's Jock McHale stand idea is a ripper.

If it brings a bit of passion and sense of unity back amongst our supporters then make it happen.
