You obviously haven't been to the Prince Mark Hotel in Doveton have you ?? |
Its sounds like you know it well. Maybe too well. Do they have a bar stool there with your name on it?
That said Classy is not a term I'd associate with any hotels/clubs etc in the wider Dandenong area. |
Nah Ronnie my lad, went there once, nearly got my head punched in, never again, mind you, it wasn't as bad as the old southern aurora hotel, now there was a blood house. actually, parts of dandy are now upmarket, they have a new huge city square complex, like federation square, with a massive matrix screen, classy. But, after 30+yrs there I only visit old dandy about twice a month, doctor, friends etc, and my new water ing hole is the York on Lillydale, in Mt evelyn, great pub, within staggering home distance, tho all the hills and trees late at night can be a bit rough, them feral possums can be nasty critters up here in these parts. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Dandenong is not that bad - very multicultural... it is not as bad as that 'bad girl' avatar of yours!

First place I ever experience where the fast food outlets installed UV Black Lights in the toilets so that drug addicts could not see their veins to shoot up. That was 30 years ago.
The place has deteriorated since then. |

I'm sure the ice dealers on the street will appreciate the new square, and they can show reruns of "Australia's Funniest Home Videos" on the matrix screen to keep the locals entertained to be sure.
NB: By their native status possums can never be feral in this country. Pissed off maybe, but never feral _________________ "Only the weak believe that what they do in battle is who they are as men" - Thomas Marshall - "Ironclad". |
