Davronen's explantations seem worryingly thin with respect to the endemic soft tissue injuries we have sustained this year. _________________ “I even went as far as becoming a Southern Baptist until I realised they didn’t keep ‘em under long enough” Kinky Friedman |

It's all completed according to Paige now as members now have a few drinks apart from beanie man (Hiss?)
Hope everyone enjoyed the updates. Looking forward to seeing this on the website tomorrow. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Thanks for the updates Jezza. Very happy about how the crowd experience issue has been dealt with, but seems like the dance troupe will live to fight another day. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

my take is there is still going to be a lot of unhappy campers who are going to have to suck it up for the time being. on the football side of things there is not going to be much change in the path they are taking which is good. need to hold their nerve. sack stays, so too fas.
on the non football front it appears the club is listening. there are certain things that are going to disappear but who signs off their implementation in the first place? _________________ Purveyor of sanctimonious twaddle. |

From what I can gather from Paige's tweets here's what seems to be the positives and negatives of the night.
Positives:
- Eddie says the match day atmosphere is ordinary at the moment. It needs to improve as it's been watered down by the AFL and MCC.
- Derek Hine seems very confident that Matthew Scharenberg will be a gem for the club despite the injury setbacks.
- Alan Didak receiving a proper tribute next year!
- Massive wraps for Jonathan Marsh as well.
- Collingwood 'saving' salary cap. Unsure of what this exactly means considering what the media says about our salary caps but at the least the club is being smart about this though if this is true.
- No more fake crowd noise ever again!
- Introducing an 'active' supporters area - I don't know what to make of this but I like the idea of it though. It will drum up passion if it's not heavily regulated.
- The club is definitely looking to the future. Seems like we're a few years off from being real premiership contenders but the club has a plan set out from what I can gather.
- Buckley very insistent that Goldsack is staying but I'm not sure whether this is the case or not.
Negatives:
- Davoren's lack of explanation of what's causing our injuries was the biggest negative of the night. Didn't seem to explain it well at all.
- He was also critical of 'high altitude' training so those days of going to Arizona again are long gone by the looks of it.
- Davoren also said that Freeman had the most severe hamstring injury he's ever seen!
- Eddie seems content in keeping the dance troupe despite our criticisms of them.
- I wish more was asked about the dance, hug and kiss cam and the cheersquad assuming it wasn't asked tonight. This is a part of the match day experience problem we have at the moment.
- Hine's explanation about the inclusion of White, Lynch and Young for salary cap reasons and to provide experience seemed a tad weak but I'll accept for what it is.
- The answer to the question of why Keefe is 'taking the kick-ins' seemed weak by Buckley describing him as being 'technically a good kick'!
Outrageous Moments:
- Beanie man - Is this Hiss?
- Someone saying that we should look at Jack Watts
- A woman asking about bringing back the 'Men of Collingwood' calendar
- Will the bar open longer? Got to love that question and it's a valid one for those of us that love a beer or two
This is just my impression of what was discussed tonight. I'd like to see a video or transcript of what was discussed on the club's website soon to have a better idea of what was going on tonight as this is only information from what Paige reported on Twitter tonight. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Thanks Jezza et alia
Davoren's inadequacies are no surprise. Just not up to it.
I can handle that we are trying to build a base of fitness, but blowing players up consistently is a massive error in judgement. Unprofessional. _________________ One team, one dream - the Pies and this year's premiership |

Anyone can say what they like about certain decisions and pick petty faults and just generally be a hater - but fk we are so lucky to have someone as President - who is actually one of us.
He talks the talk, plays the game, but above all that he genuinely cares about the Collingwood Football Club. In a way that you can't fake it. _________________ "I am a great sage, equal of heaven.

Buckley spoke first
talked about 2013 review and need for new leadership development
Identified 3 games last year v Syd Rd9 and the Port games x 2 where we were killed in transition running.
Aim going forward is to keep up with GC suns, GWS and doggies not hawks or swans
Ideal forward 6 is Coke,Reid,White,Goldy,Blair,Elliott with Pendles swan beams rotating
Was asked about dropping Keefe for Essendon game, In hindsight bad call but at time he had a few poor games and thought he was best served going back to VFL.
Acknowledges poor disposal efficiency and gets as frustrated as we do
Big wraps for Marsh,Elliott,Marley and Taylor Adams |

I didn't realise he actually said that mate. That's brilliant!
Would you say the list of positives and negatives that I outlined earlier is an accurate reflection of the night or is this disputable in some aspects as someone who attended tonight?
The updates I received came from Twitter who'd attended the night as well. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023
