Post subject: 1 question for Nathan, Bill and Mr HineReply with quote

Nathan:

How does Kyle Martin play 5 quarters for the year given ALL the injuries?

Bill Davoren:

After a tumultuous end to your time at St Kilda re your fitness program, an inglorious start at Collingwood, shall you resign if it's 3 years in a row of injury tormented guidance if 2015 curse continues?

Dennis Hine:

Can we have a 188cm and over recruiting policy with pace and skills for the next 2 trade and draft periods??

Martin is on our Rookie list.

188cm is too tall, we do need a balance. Our last two drafts have both kept that balance well. We've drafted tall (Grundy, Scharenberg, Marsh, Langdon) and small-medium (Broomhead, Ramsay, Freeman, Kennedy).

All of Marsh, Freeman, Kennedy, Broomhead, Ramsay have good pace. Most of the players drafted are also said to be of good skill.

I don't care how tall they are as long as they rate at a minimum the following:
a) leg speed 10/10
b) kicking 10/10
c) strength 10/10 - or capacity to develop into this.

Adams came over with good skills and shows it at training, put him in front of a black and white army its 1000 times more pressure then he has ever been under, put that through all kids thats what affects us, they young so will get used to the pressure and their skills will come along

I think the speed experiment has been a failure. Too many injuries - Daisy, Marsh, Freeman in particular. Like a high-tuned race car the speedsters just aren't durable enough. We should draft more dependable, solid types. How many games has Sidebottom missed in his career?

Wrong, Adams was well drilled in the art of Butchery before he came to us.

interesting point made tonight about what is bring asked of footballers in running at speed and then kicking. all of freeman, judd and rioli sustained injuries when pushed in the act of kicking. davoren doesn't think rioli will be back this year.

Adams came to us with skills? He had question marks on his kicking before he came to us!
