@CollingwoodFC
"@TLGold6's a little bemused with reports today. We love Goldy...we're pretty confident we'll be able to satisfy his needs," - @ncb_cfc.

I've always been a big rap for The Sack. A true 1%er. Hopefully he will stay as we need players with heart and commitment, which Goldsack has always had onfield in spades. I would find it inexplicable if he was let go but a pea-heart like Fasolo was kept on the list.

Ohh please let it be true......he might be a one percenter.... but that is ALL he is....
Dumb and I mean dumb footballer, some of the "football" decisions he makes are mind boggling.

Error ridden trier who doesn't get it nearly enough.

400K Laughing IT'S A JOKE right?

And if Young is on 400 then we have some real farking peanuts running the show.

TBH I've been disappointed with Goldsack over the journey, he came to us as a skinny 193cm player, now 8 or so years later he's leaving us as a skinny 193cm player, TBH he hasn't really improved that much from his first season.

I always thought he'd fill out and become a decent KP player for us, but it never happened.

I have no problem with him leaving or staying, he'd be mad to knock back coin like that, he's been a very good servant for us.

He and Goldsack have both performed at about the same level.

Is young overpaid?

Yep, haven't seen enough from Young to justify that

Too soft, gets injured way too much - sorta a one trick pony.

Early in the 2nd quarter streaming forward and he drops a simple chest mark 60 out and we are then forced to retreat to halfback and reset.

That should not be happening and pretty much sums up Goldsack and a few others around him.

I'm not about to bag Goldie but I think its fair to say that his ball-handling is always less sure than one would wish. He's never been a "first touch" player.

Stuffing up a regulation skill is a regular occurrence for guys like Goldsack, Lumumba and Toovey.

I'll give Pendles a pardon this time, considering he busts his arse week in week out.

He's a good ordinary footballer who can play a serviceable (but no more than that) game in a number of positions. His versatility and tackling are the only stand outs of his game imo.

I hope he stays but we'd be silly to even try to match 400K.

I agree completely. Love him, but he is a shocking fumbler.
I would think 300k max.[/quote]

It is more than Goldsack looking for a parachute option out of the Westpac Centre next year. Geez at this rate players are fearful a serious injury will destroy their career. Port looks like a good safe option with a genuine flag chance to boot. Go for it Goldie. It didn't do Johnny Ceglar any harm at all did it? He's number one ruck at Hawthorn now and we couldn't even find a spot for him. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes (for Lazza).

Mind you Ceglar's been helped by that Collingwood Icon Damian Monkhorst. He's a decent ruck coach.

Yes I understand Goldy will actually become an airborne ranger. Hence your confusion about parachutes. The armed forces will need to make a 4 year offer to trump Alberton

Pendles has more than enough credit in the bank to cover a mistake like that.

Not so sure that the Sack has as many credits.
